  • Why are the panels mounted in the shade?

  • @noblinger Latest part of summer...they are full sun right now when it's needed most. That Ponderosa Pine does bring some shade during that time of year though! Realistically, it hasn't mattered one bit as the batteries are floating within two hours of sun; though the panels get a minimum of 4.5-5 hours in summer!

  • I hear ya'...it takes some research. I don't need a lot, but do want to be able to run a washing machine, etc. I don't like the thought of beating my clothes on a rock :).
