I like your videos because you are not using fancy (expensive) photo equip but clamp lamp, paper tissue and stuff like that we all have at home. thumbs up, keep on making vidoes :)
When a person is able to make the people think that what he's doing is easy, that means he's a professional! Great tutorial and explanation as usual! Thumbs up!!
@LearnMyShot does it depend on lighting too? coz i use 1/60 and it's kind of dark and still not sharp. (I'm learning photography) I think I've been doing good when it comes to close up shots, but this time I'd like to take pictures such as athlete's or someone playing.
@huudiduu because the camera is on the tripod. so there is no vibration. If shooting on tripod or using high shutter speed 500 or above the image will be sharper ( a notch) if image stabilization is off
@huudiduu if you tap shutter release you will hear IS mechanism buzzing as it will try to level off vibration. (what exactly it does I am not sure) but the point is that when on tripod there is no vibration so no point for IS to work and try to stabilize vibration that is not there...
@LearnMyShot it's on the tripod but still when your finger presses down on the button you push the camera down and it bounces up because it's not fully stable since most tripods only secure it from one side. What most people do though is use a remote control so that they don't get any movement... I know this is random but this is what I know XP
@huudiduu if you are mounted on a tripod for a shot that needs a long exposure the IS is on it introduces camera shake, it tries to auto-correct movement that isn't really there.
A simple work light set up from Harbor Freight can provide 1000 watts of light for ~$30. Hot lights are called hot for a reason, just be aware of the heat they generate and you'll be fine.
Thanks a lot! your videos are very detailed. I like especially the part when you describe the settings and how it effects the situation. It helps a lot. :)
@thorpt211 you can go to learnmyshot site (link in video description) in "browse" find corresponding tutorial, then hit "share your shot" link in comments box- it will give you an option to upload from your computer or to post image url, thanks! cheers!

Why did you turn off the image stabilator?

@LearnMyShot hi, is that true? How does it affect? Even if slightly! Does it have to do with vibrations from the electric current to the IS?

@LearnMyShot But it's not necessary to turn off..? Okay, sry, a bit pointless question :D

remo2koool 4 months ago
@remo2koool correct you can go up on iSO or open up on f=stop however if you increase shutter speed you will not able to stop the motion.

simplest way to add light is to get a mounted flash in my opinion
TheFishie123 8 months ago
@TheFishie123 Some people don't have the luxury to spend $400-$500 for a high-speed sync flash.
