  • You look and drive like a fag.

  • That sounds awesome!

  • great sound

  • Damn that thing sounds so SWEEEEEEEET!!!

  • awesome sound......

  • 0:16 sounds awesome

  • Would be a nice car to drive to Le Mans one year :-)

  • so fast for a v8 :) what if they use v12 on cobra :) i couldn't imagine

  • it doesnt need it. the v8 might appear to be sluggish compared to a v12, but a 5.0L V8 will have a higher torque and horsepower rating at lower rpms, which gives a faster shot out of the hole and from around turns

  • .... yuck.. V12 in american muscle.. no thanks.. imagine if they through TTs in it.. lmao.. :-P now that would have power

  • @xmodrock ,american engine.... BRITISH CAR! not american! OK

  • but its got american muscle... its heart pumps pure american.. lol the engine is american

  • @xmodrock

It's a Rover V8 no doubt, which is British.

  • @pegleg1992 Land Rover is American... its owned by ford now buddy :-)

  • @xmodrock Going by your theory, if Aston Martin took over ford, all previous works such as the F series trucks and Mustangs would be English. That's like a British artists painting a picture, an American collector buying it, and then you saying that work of art is American.

I also said nothing about Land Rover, which I'll have you know is not Rover and is also not owned by Ford. Land Rover and Jaguar are now owned by the Indian 'Tata Motors'.

  • @xmodrock And as much as you may like to think otherwise, Land Rover and Jaguar are both still British. They are based in the UK, they were founded in the UK, the only difference is their new parent company is American. Think of it this way, if you are a British orphan, adopted by American parents, are you American? No, you are still 100% British except now you also have a United States Permanent Resident Card.

  • @pegleg1992 actually thats false.. the child would become a citizen and therefore be american with a british past... but i get what your saying :-)

  • @xmodrock

Nope, the person is English but is now also an American citizen. This does not make them American. Glad you can answer in a civilized manner though, unlike some people on YT.

  • @xmodrock

Correcting a mistake on my second reply:

    "new parent company is American"

    should be

    "new parent company is Indian"

  • @pegleg1992 why india???

  • @xmodrock

Tata Motors, the current parent of Rover and Land Rover, is Indian.

  • @pegleg1992 you guys are talking about the Rover V8 and whether it is American, British or now Indian. This particular engine was from a Rover SD1 Vitesse not a Land Rover. The Rover engine is actually a Buick engine bought and developed by Rover. I guess we could say it is an American engine built (and modified) in the UK by a UK manufacturer that closed some years ago. Rover's Land Rover cousin was bought by an Indian company. I think the link with India is a little distant.

  • You Legend ! What a car !

  • i got goose bumps

  • too bad he coulda got there way quicker if he shifted faster. still 80 in 3rd? fucken sick

  • @McSpooner tbh, i prefer if u shift slow, they sound better!

  • bonerrrr

  • thanks for the vid dude i;m thinking of buying a cobra the sound is addictive i thought my 110ci harley sounded awesome but the sound of a v8 just makes me piss myself !

  • If you are saying my RV8 sounds better than a Harley I would be very happy ....

  • @tinheed58

Soory for the late comment but that is not a ford 427 engine mate.... it is likely to be a Rover: that s what they mount on those sort of replicas.... which, from the interiors, is certainly an english one.

  • NIce little clip.... Our Cobra Rep. is Rover/Buick V8 too! Sounds just awsome, a lot of the V8 builders agree the rover/buick engine sounds as good if not better than some of the bigger v8's. Somthing to do with the angle of the V i'm told...??? Find a long tunnel to take it through!

  • @chrismaz5 good comment i agree!

  • beautiful car, hope to own one myself one day

  • I will find a tunnel !

  • Glad the guy on the bike survived.....those things ditch pretty easily.........

  • sweet whip

  • i am somewhat aroused!

  • somewhat?? During the course of this video, i became aroused, came, and am now smoking a cigarette :D

  • Seems faster than 80mph to me.

  • fuckin NASTY...!!! i want it.

  • i have to agree with you...that logic is flawless

  • love that classic american v8...ford power bitches

  • a rover v8 actually.

    read the comment from c9ogs.

  • aw your right oh well that makes this car less cool cuz i love the 427s

  • No it makes it better because its a british engine.

  • um...no

  • err... yes

  • You realize the rover v8 is based off a buick right? Anyways, great sounding car. Is this a an AC, Shelby, or a replica?

  • yes i know its based ff a buick. i was just telling that submitaweasel it wasnt a ford v8 but a rover v8. so he was half correct about it being american.

  • What a sound that makes, and is that over run I hear? :p

I'd love to get hold a AC.

  • The greatest thing about this video is the audio. Great soundtrack and thanks for taking the trouble to shoot and post it.

  • Lovely noise.....

  • It is pretty sad that 0-80 took a 38 second video :P

Just kidding, if I ever did a 0-80 video on my 4runner I would run out of tape in the camera first :D

  • Hi - well its a 3.5 litre buick/rover v8 - 5 speed transmission, it is the second engine i have got through in 12 years of owning it - if you are ever in Chelsea in London I'd be happy to take you for a spin, my girlfriend is not a fan of it so any excuse to get it out! cheers Cogs

  • @c9ogs Hi sir, if this offer is still up for grabs I'd love to come for a spin with you. And if you're after a tunnel, well, I'm sure I can find you a couple of folks who enjoy doing the same... ;)

  • looks like a bumpy ride there in the UK!

  • bumpy indeed !! I am going to make a better video of the in the next month or so, it has has the engine tuned, new exhaust and new leather interior, so almost back to original spec. Thanks for watching, Cogs.

  • dirty young men too.......

  • I wonder what that cyclist was thinking!!:o

  • Probably thinking "not again! thats the 5th time today he's trying to shoot this without the camera falling off the dash"

  • absolute legend of a car, you're lucky just to see one, let alone drive one!

  • What a fucking awesome noise! You lucky man.

  • Mint Vid, Love The Cobra ITs Amazing

  • How did that cyclist not crap himself?!?

  • 350 horsepower to make the noise and 50 horsepower left to turn the wheels. Dream machine!!!!
