i love my nook its the best investment ive made in awhile, its so much easier to read and i read way more often its totally worth the money i got the wifi one because i only use the internet when buying books
@MsDivaOneLuv812 Thats the whole point of e-ink. It does GREAT outside. No reflection. . . you don't have to squint or anything. Nothing like the iPad or iPhone.
I'm thinking of getting a nook. I go to barnes and noble as aften as possible, I love reading, woulod a nook be worth my money? And should I get a 3g one? or just a wifi one?
@laurenht I'm very happy with mine. If I had to pick between the two I'd go for the one without 3G because I have such abundant access to wi-fi where I live.
@laurenht I DO agree with weggingt, however I got 3g because I live in a rural area. I don;t have wifi myself either, and all the hotspots around are locked.
Thanks for the video. Very helpful. I believe the reason the page turning via swipe didn't work for you is that you have to wait until the touch screen goes dark before you can use that feature.
Thank you! You showed me everything that I was looking for in the review. I don't have a Nook yet. But after this review, I'm definitely thinking to get one or to recommend the Nook to other people. The firmware 1.3 is definitely a big improvement. It's so much snappier!
@qcstevie It is a lot snappier. Always a plus. :-) I hope/wish they would make more apps and refinements. Especially with organizing, making notes etc. But this is a very cool update. I love my nook. :-)
@Tikmondo I'm probably not the best person to review that. The few I did try didn't work very well and I'm not sure why. I think they were just too stinking big. I just use a program called Calibre to convert stuff I want to read into the more supported epub format.
Very cool! Thanks for the video. It's my birthday too! Did you get the download from nookTalk before it went password protected? I can't seem to find a link on Barnes & Noble's website.
@colinw92 Yea I got it off a friend who got it before they locked things up. But its available now from what I can tell. So I only got it a tiny bit early compared to the rest of the world. :-)
I love my nook, just wish I could watch videos with it, it will not let me download a flash player.

Should I get a nook? I don't really read, but the rest of the features sound pretty cool

@erdal0 I read it just about every day. I was just showing off the OS changes in this video. The e-reading functionality hadn't changed at all.
weggingt 1 year ago
@weggingt yes I regularly use it to look at porn, hold the nook with one hand and with the other hand jacking off.

Can you only go on the internet through WI-Fi or can you get on the web browser through 3G also ?
iAlexOnline 1 year ago
@iAlexOnline You can only get to the internet through WI-Fi. The new $150 nook is awesome. 3G isn't really anything I ever use.
