Perhaps... But I can tell you which product REALLY works... It's called Groove Juice. I picked it up last week at my local drum shop. There's two versions: one for B8 and the other for B20 cymbals. You just spray it on your cymbals and after 10-30 secs you rinse it off with warm water. The cymbals come out PERFECT. Although, if you keep it on for too long it can erase logos, since it's a really, really strong acidic compound. Check it out, bro! ^_^

try it like that again and you'll get your self hurt watch the lag from when the nut starts to spin and the cymbal begins to turn, it's loose. Then when it does heat up more it's going to spit the nut and the center hole it going to ride up the threaded shaft and take off like a frisbee. Leave the polishing to the pro's. Oh yea and if your polishing like that you'll lose the sound if you don't knoe what your doing. that's all the free advice for now...
