Why is Wendell Scott not in nascar's hall of fame? the man is a legend and he did it without the sponsors and help the other "big" drivers of that time through all the bs he had to put up with just to race and he never gave up the man is more of a legend then Petty or Earnhardt because he sank his last doller to race were the others had everything givin to them
Have any of you seen the movie with Richard Pryor? Greased lightening? That movie is right on and it is one of my favorite movies of all times. Check it out for yourself my friends.
A truly remarkable and inspirational man. Not as a black NASCAR driver, not as the first and only black driver to win, but as a man. He will be in the NASCAR Hall Of Fame!
I am Born AND Raised in that little city of Danville,VA. I was always told of him as a child and remotely remember playin wit a kid in front of hia garage when i was barely 6.
I've got one problem and one alone with this documentary: the "racing" depicted is an embarassment. They're driving about as fast as if it were a Sunday drive to get ice cream. I'm sure Wendell would agree.
I think it's absolutely amazing what Wendell went through to do the one thing he truly loved to do....Racing. If anyone deserves induction into the NASCAR Hall Of Fame, it's most certainly Wendell Scott!!!!
This man is a legend not only of his time, but of ours as well. If he had the factory backing, he would of been propelled further in his career than where he was. But, what makes him an icon to me is that he overcame the obstacles set before him in order to pursue his passion.
Awesome brother. Thank you.
