Difficult to say about this film. I am hard-core supporter of a free Tibet. But it's interesting what others have to say. Having never been to Tibet, and given the present representation going in the country by the Chinese authorities.
This video, and its entire series, distorts the truth. These videos are not indicative of American sentiment of Tibet. These videos are being used by CCP minded people for an agenda based on lies and deceit. I believe all of these statements to be true. The restrictions on travel to Tibet are very severe. I have been denied a permit to return because of my phots and videos. They also will not let in anyone from the press or any government or non-profit organizations. The CCP is very restrictive and is hiding most of Tibet from the world. Tghese are the facts. There should be more video like this. I was a pro-tibetan sympathizer before, but after seeing all those hooplas and violent tactics the free-tibet group employed, I have switched my position. Also, I've lost my confidence in western media as well.

I've seen the videos posted by pro-China people using the documentary made by Chris Nebe..and anyone who does a little research can discover he has strong business ties with the CCP and is actually a CCP employee! Yet outside researchers have no ability to check out these reports. Simply closing the region off, controlling it with military forces and telling anyone who questions these facts to mind their own business isn't going to satify anyone who actually gives a damn about Tibetan people. This video, and its entire series, distorts the truth. These videos are not indicative of American sentiment of Tibet. These videos are being used by CCP minded people for an agenda based on lies and deceit. I believe all of these statements to be true. It's no secret that the Chinese government sees propaganda as a key weapon in its efforts to battle the movement for Tibetan rights and independence. Their effectiveness all depends on how much you can think for yourselves.

大清国 or Qing Dynasty ruled over China from 1644-1912. It was Manchu Rule, NOT Chinese. At the end of their rule, China and Tibet claimed independence. Therefore, Tibet was an independent country just like China in 1912. CCP invaded Tibet and took it militarily, and has occupied it since. Tibet is not part of China. Tibet is Tibet. Now we are getting into the true facts of the history of China. It seems that China has been occupied by foreign countries many times.

Western media is absolutely forbidden to go to Tibet. All Western people need special permits to go to Tibet. They do not allow any people from the media. I think I will never get another permit because of all of my films I have made from my last trip. I may get a Chinese visa, but not a Tibetan permit. This is the truth. You are very wrong about this. I am a Western person who traveled to Tibet. I had to get a special permit, even though I was already in China with a visa. They made sure I was not a member of the media. I was a student in a University in Beijing. I am very sure about the fact that no Western media is allowed in Tibet. CNN has been there 2 times in the last 10 years, and both times were staged and planned events that were highly controlled.

NO, tourists need a special permit to go to Tibet, but Western media is forbidden to go to Tibet totally. I don't think you really do understand. CCP will not let any foreign journalists into Tibet ever. That is a major problem for accurate information to come out of Tibet to the rest of the world. Do you think going for a few days and shooting a video gives you the right to make a judgement on the terrible tragedy unfolding there? Please don't denigrate something so important as people being brutalized and being sterilized. 1. Now outsiders can visit Tibet.

I have seen some of videos you suggested, apparently there is brutality used in Tibet in the past, my sympathy. Still, history is history, we don't blame William when he conquered England, or Caesar in Gual, I guess what we care most is now. And according to the video, now is better. I also have traveled a lot in China and have had such a great time. You are right about the gun thing. No guns in China! I never was scared of the people in China. The government and Army people and the Bank money people were scary as Hell! I liked it in China, I have good friends there.

China and Japan are both great countries, capable of great good and great wrong. The feats accomplished and crimes committed by both are unforgotten to any human being in the world, and better not to be.
Yet one immersed solely in the shadow of past would miss the light of the future. What we should remember from history is lesson, not hatred. I might not forget, but we should surely forgive.

Again, when I said, History is history, I mean history, whether fact or not should not be used as excuses for violence or racism.
There is no descendants of Ceasar who would be able to claim any throne, not to mention a bunch of monks living outside Tibet.

The restrictions on travel to Tibet are very severe. I have been denied a permit to return because of my phots and videos. They also will not let in anyone from the press or any government or non-profit organizations. The CCP is very restrictive and is hiding most of Tibet from the world. Tghese are the facts. Outsiders are not allowed to go without escorts. I had to be with one all the time. and it was very expensive and my time was very limited by the CCP. It is a limited access for sure

Internet censorship for the people of China is nothing new, but the Olympics were supposed to be different. When China bid for the Olympics in 2001, it declared to the International Olympic Committee that selecting Beijing to host the Games would "give the media complete freedom to report when they come to China"

Tibet is not far way from your place! Just go and see with your own eyes. The door of Tibetan area in China is always opened to people from outside. People could travel freely within China. The modern highways, efficient airport and fast railway connected Tibet with other parts of China. It is not difficult to get there and see what is going on there indeed. Don't be fooled by stupid western media.

Religion is Religion. We love their culture and history as much as anyone else. But we don't want our home country breaking apart the same as you do to your country.
There are Tibet temples in the south of China and Tibetan living in other provinces in China. Lots of Tibet residents are chinese too.
Since it's part of your country for HUNDREDS YEARS!
China even has benefits to all minority nations. For example, kids from minority nation can enter any university
with a lower score than us!

And lots of them have different language ,and ALL of them have their own special culture! But they are CHINESE just like the mexicans living in california are AMERICANS.

There should be more video like this. I was a pro-tibetan sympathizer before, but after seeing all those hooplas and violent tactics the free-tibet group employed, I have switched my position. Also, I've lost my confidence in western media as well.

It is a great video... Most people in the western countries should realize the western media is not always fair, they are biased sometimes. So in order to find the truth, it is a good way to go to tibet to have a look by yourself

You don't need to be a rocket scientist to know that a week's travel will not make you an expert on Tibet. Use a little common sense. Tibetan protest demonstrates plenty clear what Tibetants want-- Freedom.

Watch this video first please, they also did their study before this travel! To answer your question for another post, I have been to Lhasa, Kangding, and some other tibetan areas in Sichuan province, mostly for travelling and visiting friends there. Now it is your turns, what about you? Any solid comments other than personal attack like "hypocrite"?
