As A strong christian and former Military Policeman who served our country and has had friends die in Iraq I severely dissagree with WBC and the message of hate that they perptuate. One of my friends who died over there and was also a strong christian and faithful family man had his funeral picked by these hatemongers which does nothing good for the christian faith it only harms it and makes those that are nonbelievers dislike the rest of us. I should add that I acknowledge the WBC's first amendment rights to preach their message of delusional hatred. I do, however, feel morally obligated to ensure that these people get as little attention as possible when they capitalize on tragedies for attention, which I find more abhorrent than anything. I will be in Chapel Hill, NC on March 18th to counter-protest the WBC, who are using the tragic death of UNC student Eve Carson as a pulpit to voice their hatred. I encourage other students like myself as a gesture to Carolina students to do the same and allow the UNC community to attend the memorial service without the distraction of these tragically brainwashed souls.
They plan on protesting on March 18th from 2-330 around the Smith Center.

Everyone has their own opinion about what is the true religion and religious teachings. I never did a deep study of the Bible, however I believe that God and the true Spirit is love. I am having a more difficult time believing in the accuracy of the Bible when so much hatred and hurt is spawned from it. I don't think hatred is associated with God, nor did it come from him. I'm not so sure I would want to honor a God that created teh signs of these people. We need to use common sense.

Its no use reasoning with them because they have all been brainwashed since they were babies. They don't know how to think outside of their own beliefs. I pity them.

they came to Ft Hood today to protest another soldiers funeral, i guess after several generations of inbreeding you would have views as warped as theirs.

the best thing the US could do is show them utter compassion, these people get a rise out of hatred, so when people shout abuse at them they are only fuelling the protagonist nature in these people. sit down in front of their protests in silent meditation, pray for their souls. insist that those around you remain silent, seated and rightheaded. Show these people the power of silence and dignity, show them what it is to be human and to love.
