why are these guys almost totally unknown?gonna get some of their music on itunes if possible. And if u play guitar and need something new like I did I definitely recommend mandolin.and if you play for 5o years you may get a tenth as good as jesse cobb.
Musically, these guys are from a different planet. Interpretive jazz meets bluegrass. If you enjoy this, you will like 'Crooked Still'. 'Bearfoot' is great too. All of them play the same festivals together. I love the old timey and traditional straight up bluegrass, but this new crowd is fresh and very, very good. Nobody chops a mandolin like Jesse Cobb.
THAT mandolin player is extremely good he does things with that thing that are not natural!!! lol this whole group is top notch!! anyone know the mandolin players name???
I meant the instrumental, "Pronto", was written by Jesse. The second part "No More to Leave You Behind" was written by Andy Hall, the dobro player/the guy who sings it.
Thanks for posting... these guys are the best! Great picking and singing. I love to hear a more complex bluegrass number than the same old three chords. I don't think that the first tune is 40 West though.
pleasing to the ears...

Man, Pronto is one of my favorite songs ever. I first found this band in at 3:00am on Public Access TV. I wish I knew where to buy this song.

Unfortunately Pronto is not on there. Maybe they haven't recorded it yet...

Could be or it's a cover maybe.

This song was written by one of the band members, Jesse Cobb, the mandolin player.
