  • Men are no longer competing only with other men, we're competing with the women we're after as well. The problem with relationships, based on my beliefs, is the fact that women are choosing based on what they think society wants them to be with, when evolution has made them favor the more aggressive, physical alpha male (remember they used to need protection). So they get with the more feminine male, and they suddenly can't figure out why they no longer have attraction for them.

  • My point is, the qualities that made a man successful at his job (in the evolutionary sense) were aggression and strength and all of these "bad" qualities we are made to feel guilty about today. In a world with a legal/political system, all of our evolutionary cues go against what society expects of us. Without the need for a man's protection, women now have the advantage and their choice will now shape man's evolution.

  • Or maybe the political system and legal system we have established completely opposes the way we evolved. In a world without laws, where a man wouldn't be punished for forcing himself upon women (it was just nature), women didn't have sexual choice. They pair bonded to ensure the protection of themselves and their babies from the advances of other men, because there weren't police to protect them. It was the most successful semen that won. Go research why a mans penis is shaped how it is.
