The Ford Fusion Hybrid is a great car. Engines start at the manufacturing plant. If we can limit the pollution and social problems gasoline engines cause, we can help better society in general. By 2016, new cars built in America will be required to achieve at least 30+mpg (depending on class). If this doesn't come true go to your local city hall and make a complaint.
The Ford POS Hybrid has better MPG because its only a SULEV vehicle while the Camry is a AT-PZEV which means it still meets SULEV standard and goes beyond by having ZERO emissions from its fuel system. If Ford had to meet this standards it would be a different story for them. The Camry has more room inside more power more features and weights less and less expensive and more quality than than Ford can even dream about having. People need to start doing research instead of believing their ads.
I have one 2003 town car that made by ford. it have more than 389,500 miles and it still going. Ford is making a Better quality, more reliable, and safer. Keep Ford going forever!
The company I work for only buys Fords. The salespeople drive Taurus' and the Tech's drive 150's. Everyone gets way over 200,000 miles on these vehicles with very little trouble. While I personally own a Toyota Land Cruiser, I don't think the Ford's are all that bad.
Also, I am not really sure there is a truly "American" car anymore. All of the manufacturers are far more interconnected than we would like to believe.
are you serious!!? that is bad ass! id believe you. my bro had a 08 fusion and someone totaled it. i got vids of the aftermath. what color do u have? is it loaded?
for is shit that is why they struggle. why would anyone give money throw away money on shit cars with a number of problems whee the japanese make durable long lasting great reliable cars . when ford or the big three make start making quality than the will be better. This is coming from an auto technician that works for a company that sells american cars
that's true, it remind me some what some of those "technicians" said about Ford Taurus at that time and what happened latter: everyone've realized it was just a bluff; one of the worst cars in american history. XP
fords doing the best of the "big three".Fords also doing just as good as japanese cars.Ford trucks are way better than japanese trucks.Fords doing their absalute best to make the company last and thats what they are doing.Have you ever driven a ford.....probably not.(Don't say you have because thats BS)I like japanese cars just as much as the next guy but cars are cars...you get what you get.drive it if you want to drive it.
@shakespir23 I was reading up on most reliable cars. and ford fusion is more reliable then toyota camry and honda accord, ford is really doing a better job.
You got to give Ford credit for getting into the hybrid market. Even though they are still new to the scene, you can't expect it to get better gas mileage, acceleration, and price to beat it's competition (toyota camry hybrid). Give it time and it will be refined.
did you know that in 92 president cliton gave 2 billons dollars to ford and gm to build the first hybrid cars. but they gave up after a few years and use that money to make trucks. so there not new to that. and japan did not get the funding but they did make the hybrid. i give props to ford and gm trying but they didnt try hard enough thats y there far behind
So you would rather give money to japan? Why not give money to the big 3 so they can stay in business and employ Americans so our economy isnt in the toilet?

What's funny is that the Camry Hybrid will be on its 2nd generation in less than 2 years and Ford will still be marketing this! LOL, Toyota/Honda were light years ahead of the Chevy/Ford. Now they are trying to catch up. Toyota, Honda, and now Hyundai will dominate the green market.
actually chrystler came up with the 1st electric car in the early 1900s. then gm came up with the 1st EV1 electic vehicle in the 1990s but there was no oil crisis like now. toyota came up at just the right time. All it was was timing.
I've admired the current Milan design more than the Fusion, which is too pedestrian. The 2010 Milan design is even better. The Milan has an Audi-esque look to the grill/front end, perhaps an improvement on the horse collar design of the Audi line, and I drive an A3!
well im a mechanic ive been seeing ford going in the right direction for the last 10years i don't like small cars but look at the focus quality reviews compared to any other american compact made
I LOVE THE NEW MERCURY MILAN!!! IT LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE FORD FUSION!!! Im kinda glad that I bought a 2008 Fusion instead of waiting for the 2010 model, Its ugly, to me at least!
I really wish they sold the Milan in Canada, they stopped selling the Mercury brand here more than 5 years ago!! Damn that would be cool to drive the Milan Hybrid!!

I've worked on Toyota trucks and Ford trucks. Toyota trucks are more durable and tougher. Ford does have more variety in full sizes.

Fusion Hybrid gets 41 mpg city. What does the Camry Hybrid get? Also, this is just a mid-cycle refresh. A new fusion/mondeo is not too far out.
ventgr77 3 years ago 3
Camry hybrid gets 33/34, according to their website.

if the canadian gov't didn't tax so much, then the citizens would have more spending power - meaning more vehicles to select from.
