My god. Soap and hot water. Its terrible to think that in those days, this was the only option for women who didn't want the baby. I am torn myself as to weather I agree or disagree with the practises but, I'm glad that at least nowadays in this country women have the option of having an abortion in a safe sterile place.
watching this made me cry, there are people in this world who would prefer that this be the only access women have to abortion. I can't imagine a world like this without having a safe or legal choice about my own body, i pray that we never ever go back to this!
Why? Poor people, working class families can be happy, you know. I agree, though, it's unusual to have a group who doesn't ignore what they have for lusting after what they don't have.
She was one of the few people than genuinely cared about these women. A lot of people will disagree, but I strongly believe she was right to do what she did.
@mcg413 You made that sound very anti-abortion, actually abortion is free in the UK and alot of other countries...its just America and a few others where you have to pay, so the main incentive for a doctor in america is the money
LOL, so they don't pay doctors in the UK any salary? There are way more profitable medical fields than abortion in the US. Abortion doctors in the US face daily death threats and harassment for the work they do. Many have been murdered by anti abortion fanatics. They do what they do because they believe in helping women. many of them were alive when abortion was illegal and remember the terrible effects it had on women.
All doctors want money, thats why many people go into the medical field. And most medical fields don't involve daily death threats or murder attemtps like abortion care does.
Are you offended at the concept of paying doctors a salary? Moron.
I don't think that's right. Florence Nightengale in the Crimean War introduced the idea of sterile hands/environment/instruments in preventing disease. I think that was before WWII.
Thats a great response, even though he probably takes the comment back knowing what his brothers wifes really like.

@BooshXBill That's because her cause was different than most abortionists today. She wanted to help those in need. Abortionists want money.
