Haiti was the first nation to rebel against french conolizers in the Carribean in 1812. and for several years the indiginous peoples of Haiti fought against Spainards and then later French colonies and control. After Liberation in 1812, the country was forced to pay back to the French one Hundred million francs, they finished paying that debt in 1947. US corporations invaded Haiti since the 50s, and have been there overthrowing democratucally elected parties.
