I became an Ayabie fan around April/May too! :) Although I like Ayabie more when Ryohei was still there. Like you I'm very sad for Aoi! How could the rest of the band do that to him T_T Some news says that Aoi prefered to stay, but I doubt it, maybe it's just an excuse...At first I didn't like Aoi much, but later I realized how cuuuute he is, like Ryohei :) Anyway I wish Aoi success in his solo career.

all you ppl are wrong the whole aoi thing. they split up because they weren't agreeing with their label about the way the band was going. if you read the translations it tells you the whole story. all it comes down to is that they weren't on the same page anymore. so they left and aoi didn't.

Ayabie is in the music genre of Visual Kei and skirts are a normal part of their outfits. It's the style of the music. Aoi (vocalist in this PV) is not the only one who does it, a TON OF OTHER BANDS do it too. :) Hope this answered your question

@colita2001 they are together still but aoi is not in the new group. they also moved to the company DNL. Ayabie (彩冷える) is on hiatus as of 2010 and aoi is still the singer. however, the other 4 created the new group called AYABIE.

@Syuni2Kiss They aren't technically considered Oshare Kei. Most people think because they dress the way they do, that defines their genre. But the content of their music is a big decider too. I'd say they were your average VK. Not too bright, not too dark. Just a good enough mixture.

No matter what, this stays one of the most awesome bands ever. Ayabie was the greatest band I ever knew and it hurts me to see them disbanding. Ofcourse, this was going to happen some day. But I didn't expect it now. I will not stop listening to their music, and I probably will listen to Aoi's solo music and the new band of Yume, Takehito, Kenzo and Intetsu. Aoi is unforgettable.
