They were designed and engineered by Australians, from 308 engine to body shell to chassis to interior to driveline. As I said, apart from the T350/400 gearboxes. Every part in the 1970s was made in Australia. Granted GM as a shareholder took a dividend from profits every year (thats business) but took no decisions on Aussie construction
