  • Sounds bloody good. Bet the popping on over-run when driving sounds awesome. You must go round with you windows down. Don't do it round the town centre though ha ha!

  • I have recently fitted a milteks cat back exaust and it sounds ok low revs but at high revs it sounds very waspy could that be the cat

  • Don't worry about that mate, mine's the same. It's not the cats, that's just how the R32 sounds at high revs, similar to an M3. Enjoy it, and find some more tunnels!!!

  • agreed...VR's+tunnels=SEX

  • hello matt, iam looking as of this moment at the milltek website for iam most interested in purchasing a new exhaust system for my car. there are separate mods to buy as i can see.... the highflow cat for $1400, headers for $1200, and an exhaust non resonated straight front pipe for $999..... iam wondering what you purchased so i can make mine sound as close to yours as possible. thanks

    Charles

  • Hi Charles, all I have at the moment is the non resontated cat back system with standard cats and manifold. Hope that helps, Matt.

  • woooooooooooow

    sexy

  • heeey very nice and lovely loud sound

i like it,, soon i will make my r32 sound like that

  • Sounds lovely matt :) a Hell of a lot louder than the last time I heard it!

  • Cheers mate, it's also faster than the last time you saw it thanks to the remap!!

  • Hi Matt,

It sounds so cool just with the cat-back system - thumbs up !

    Thanks for all your help.

    Best regards from Denmark,

    Kim

  • Hi again,

Thanks for the quick reply - that is what I need. I've head several Miltek exhausts and they all sound great. Do you have the cat-back version or did you buy the sport cats as well?

    Thanks,

    Kim

  • Hi Kim, this is just the cat-back with standard cats.

    Matt

  • I am thinking about buying a system for my Audi S3, but I don't know if the non-resonated will be too loud. Clips I've seen with the resonated system, doesn't "backfire" - is it bothering you when driving that it backfires?

    Best regards,

    Kim

  • Hi Kim, the non-resonated system is quite loud, especially outside the car, but that is what i like.

It is not the engine that is backfiring, just the air inside the exhaust "popping" due to the larger size exhaust reducing the pressure. Even the standard exhaust used to do this but it wasn't as loud so you couldn't always here it. The popping spund doesn't bother me, i think it sounds great, especially when changing gear!

  • Wow... that sounds really good. does it always backfire like that???

  • Cheers mate. Even the standard exhaust pops, but because I've got the non-resonated Milltek on the there's a lot more pops and they are a lot louder! When driving and changing gear slowly the pops sound fantastic!
