I am currently enrolled in the EMT program and then RN program with the hopes of one day becoming a flight nurse.this video only motivates me more to pursue my dream even more! thanks for posting it!
Not that I have ever heard of. The most common configuration in the U.S. is RN / Paramedic. Some do fly RN / RT and others fly RN / RN. It depends upon what type of flights you do...scene vs. transfer etc. In Europe many fly Physician / RN and in Switzerland I have a friend that flies Physician / Paramedic. Have a good day!
you have to be an RN or a paramedic i believe...the care that is provided to PT's by a HEMS team is the highest level of pre hospital care...from advanced airway management / intubation...to the starting of IV's and adiminstarion of meds..and EMT's are not trained to provide that level of care...thats why EMT-B's call for ALS units on certain calls
Once again you have outdone yourself. You always create such awesome videos. You also have some great looking people who work for your service:) Thanks for sharing our playground with others!
I want to become either a flight nurse or flight paramedic how long do both take to get email me at jesslover1011 it is yahoo thank greatly appreciated

Nice Video and nice helicopter. It looks like a Bell 407...I notice the four blades as opposed to the twin blade (ridged rotor system). Good job
