She is a diva, that's basically a fact. I saw them in 2005 and there she was bitchy and distant as well - long long before she got sick. Sure, everyone can have a bad day, but still it's no reason for acting like that. And its not been the only time...so. Criticising her personality has got nothing to do with complaining about her singing, that's a different chapter.

I have met her 2 times personally, she came out after both concerts to meet the fans, and she was nice and friendly. She signed stuff, done photos with the fans, what else do you need? She's totally not a diva, she does her own wardrobe, make-up, hair, etc.

epica composes great music but in my personal opinion they are horrible to the public. yes, mark is great but simone is simply too much of a diva. i don't like her.

Simone is still recovering of MRSA and still has to stick to a hygenical routine, normally they do have a lot of contact with the fans

yes, im aware of that. however, i watched them last year in france and she was still horrible. she always seems distance as if she doesnt give a shit. singers often forget that if it weren't the fans they would be nothing and i simply cannot tolerante that. for example, tarja was horrible with nightwish...however, i watched her live in london and she was soooooooooo nice to the audience. its a shame some people forget from where they come from.

You also forget that she and even Coen are not always wanting to go out. She for reasons that she can't go out time after time to meet people for health issues. I saw them last year and she came out and meet the fans at the Det show. You said yo usay them last year in France. You do know that they were before doing one show after another. She needs her down time to. For her sack and the rest of the band.

IN fact if there is one thing I will say about Simone and heck this even goes the same for all of Epica and even another band I like After Forever. They push way to hard at there work. That near the end of that tour Simone got sick. Then going into 2008 she ended up getting MRSA. And at long last she slowed down. She will be back visiting the fans when she is giving that OK.
