2008...jimmy v was 1993, and kay yow passed in january of 2009.

she faced every opponent whether on the basketball court of in a hospital room, with dignity and grace.

I'd never heard of her until the year when I watched her on the ESPY's, but watching her that night tunred me into a huge fan of her's...not so much as a coach, but as a person. I am deeply saddened to know that she has passed away, yet I can only dream that my life will have even half as much impact on others as hers did. Her story will always serve as an inspiration to me.
