  • I like rap but I love this song for some strange reason

  • @ZigZagZiggy123 Another example of a kid getting mad cus someone don't have the same taste/opinion so they automatically become retarted in your eyes.

  • This is very good and do is the band but they don't come close too "The Avett Brothers" listen to if its the beaches and laundry room and birthday hangout by them

  • and I'll find strength in pain and i will change my ways i'll know my name as it's called again..

  • Freaking love this song

  • their songs are great. it rejoiced my heart, really♥

  • okay so ive always thought Mumford and sons sucked like so bad, then my best friend made me listen to them and now i love them!!!!! this song is amazingg

  • To the dude who said the vocalist was better than Chris Cornell... Smoke another crack rock because you obviously are out of touch with reality. Mumford and Sons are good and the vocalist has a nice voice.. I will give you that. But you sir, are retarded.

  • Love this song

  • do you know ellie gouldings version? Both are good.

  • Can people seriously stop saying what the meaning of this song is! Its a good song, that's all I care about, if u wanna analyze read a god damn book!

  • Pretty sure they no longer remain unsigned. Also, to people commenting on the "rareness" of banjos in modern music: heard of bluegrass? Or for that matter, country music in general? Folk instruments are everywhere. Cept MTV. Unless you count Mum n Sons. xD

  • Fleet Foxes > Mumford & Sons

  • Gr8 song!! Love their accents. Who cares what it's about. It's amazing:]

  • Peter Sandoval ♥'s these blokes

  • What's the meaning???

  • Now THIS is good music

  • it's amazing :)

    favorite song of all :)

  • God this voice beats Chris Cornell and Brandon Boyd! :D

  • i love this!!!!!!

  • For a folk band, epic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • AMAZING songwriting, pure awsomeness.

  • This is one of the only slow songs that I actually like.

That's how brilliant this band is.

  • I love them and this song.

  • When I started paying attention to these lyrics I got touched. This is such a good song for people who feel down and feel like giving up, you can actually get strenght out of it.

  • @DrHitpoint GAY

  • 9 people cant play bango

  • As usual amazing! Love you mumford! -3

  • there so talented! they majorly remind me of the Swell Season :)

  • My favourite track of them. By far.

  • finally!! i have fooouund a good recording!!

  • I love this band.keep doing what you do guy.

  • And IIIIIIIIII am hungry

  • I heard this song for the first time last night. I was so blown away that I remembered some lyrics, entered them into my computer, and found out what the song was and who sang it. I only listen to the classical music radio station. I was in the health club last night. I'm glad I was.

  • Love This Song <3

  • These men amaze me soo much. Lovee. <33

  • They are amazing! Everyone should be listening to them!

  • i usually listen to alot of metal, rock/alternative, but i am SOO loving this band! the lyricis are amazing, and the music is amazing. i have a new fav and it's mumford and sons!!!! Even my kids love to listen to them

  • Very good

A throw back to the 1960's folk music

  • I love them !! can't wait to see them live in Santa barbara this monday

  • hell ya they are awesome!!!!

  • Chad Vader likes these guys

  • @ONLiUSEmeDArius says this music for some reason reminds me of 90's simpliciti. Gin Blossums kinda

  • The steel guitar is also used like i’ve never heard it before. This is one of the few bands that make me want to buy a CD!

  • They'lre be the new Beatles! It's obvious! The guitar style, banjo, singing style, it's amazing.

  • You'd think the Banjo would sound very brash and western, yet Winston makes me look at it in a whole new way...

  • Love it!!

  • I heard this song from my cousin and didn't really listen.then my mom loved this song and now I love it

  • Love finding new indie music...wondering if these guys ever got signed.. heard this song in a McDonalds! Wrote down lyrics cause I liked it so much! Great Song..

  • I hate Mumford and Sons, they make all other music sound so useless and meaningless.

  • @erice495able lol

  • its about time a band used different instruments that you dont usually see like the banjo it sounds awsome btw this band =...............sorry i cant finish that sentance i cant find a word good enough to describe them

  • Eeww..

  • im sure they will be signed eventually, if they havnt gotten signed already. at least i hope they do. they deserve it!

  • You can understand dependence

when you know the maker's hand

    Cause I need freedom now

And I need to know how

To live my life as it's meant to be

And I'll find strength in pain

And I will change my ways

I'll know my name as it's called again

These were the parts I went like: Oh my god i didnt know what kind of girlfriend I have and now im not quiet wondering how life is better after I left her.

  • I gotta play this on my St. Pattys gig.

  • This is a buy. Period. So good

  • i think its impossible not to fall in love with them.

  • erm arent they signed to Island records???

  • one of my favourite songs :)

  • Junior year, with a new close friend, in an old somewhat functioning car, listening to this song, grand stuff.

  • dude im a hardcore rock dude but when i heard this i teared up shit!

  • I can't get enough of this song. It's been on repeat for hours. I'm relieved to hear a 'new' band that still puts lot of soul, thought, and talent into their songs.

  • @anotherdamnkid

I couldn't agree more. I have to run out and get this CD. Speaking of heart and soul I love both the original and the remake of Mad World (Tears for Fears original and Gary Jules remake). You may like them as well. Just a thought.

  • @sanksker good call on the Mad World reference. But I really like Gary Jules' take on the song a lot more. Much like Ryan Adams' acoustic version of Wonderwall when compared to Oasis' original recording.

  • @fofjx

It's hard to argue against the Gary Jules version for sure. It stands on it's own like Johnny Cash's version of Hurt which is way better to my ears then NIN version even if they did write it. NIN have some incredible contributions to the music world though.

It's all subjective and that's the beauty of art. Incidentally, I wasn't a fan of Ryan Adams version of wonderwall. Each to his own of course.

  • I know nothing of this band (soon to change) but I heard this song for the first time recently and loved it immediately. Just incredible.........

  • My ears were just made love to by the grace of a banjo!

  • Does anyone know anyone like this who they are trying to save right now?

  • I don't even have to have ever heard the song before, banjos immediately let me know its Mumford and Sons.

  • <3 Freaking awesome!!!!!!!

  • Mumford and Sons have a bright future<3

  • Usually, i'm listening to metal but this stuff is just amazing.

  • @Bierflotte

    Agreed!!!

  • @Bierflotte I'm with you. Japanese metal act Dir en grey have been my favorites since they turned the heavier foot (2005-ish), but these lads are just blowing me away.

  • @Bierflotte man im the same way, this band is so talented its rediculous.

  • @Bierflotte me too.

  • @Bierflotte I agree VERY much, I lissen at metal too. I thought I wrote your comment in my dreams >_>

  • it's weird because I'm normally not crazy about this kind of music but this is so good! the more songs I listen to the more I love this amazing band :)

  • AMAZING LIVE. Why do they all look like chastised children in this pic, lol? :)

  • <3333

  • I just love the banjo's... :D

  • @snuffercakes i've listened to alot more of they're songs and i think "sister" and "the banjolin song" are just fan-fucking-tastic

  • their slow, up-lifting songs have such an unique style. Best band every.

  • Very inspirational, gets me fired up (Even though it's quite a slow-paced song, still, I love it <3)

  • @reeceyfezza NOT. SLOW-PACED. LIVE. Check it out on YouTube; you'll be happy you did :)

  • this song is the best

  • best song definitely!

  • i Have fallen in love with this band :D they are amazing :) love this song!!!!
