Wow, this is a great video! I was wondering about the nike mercurial glide II: I have wide feet (some bunions) and tried these cleats on and they actually fit perfect! So, can you explain to me why they are not good for wide feet, I feel like they stretch a ton?
Very good and informational video. First time I've found shoetalking interesting.
Also helped me alot when you said synthetic material is shit for a wide foot because I just bought a couple of puma v1.11 fg with synthetic and quite narrow in the center.
Thought I would try them out because they were so light but I'll return them and try a couple of Puma powercats or a adipower predator depending on which feel best.
I have the superfly 2 windchill and have a wide foot. I do not have a problem with them. I dont really see why people have so much problems with superflys.
I have a semi wide foot and puma kings stretch perfectly to tailor to my feet. The video producer should double check, that's my only complaint, otherwise excellent video. Mercurials are a no no..
Hi there nice video. Can u recommend which soccer cleat should i go in for i have a kind of a wide and flat feet nd i normally have a problem with selecting so can u let me know if the Nike victory 2 are fine for me or the Addidas preditor powerswerve.Because i live in India and most for these cleats are not availible here so please do let me know.
@GolStoreUSA Great video, super appreciated! One question: I'll be considering Diadora Maracanas, adiPowers, and Maestris, but do the ua hydrastrikes fit wide in your knowledge? Again, thanks!
Out of Nike and Adidas boots, please could you make a list of these boots in order from the one which fits the widest to the one which fits the narrowest feet??
i found out to get the great fit i a predator i have to have a size 8us. but, that means the last stud on the inside of the forefoot applies pressure on the arch of my foot. so bought a size 8 1/2. then leather starts to stretch i get that i am wearing flip flops feel. so back in the meastri 1s and a pair of the original puma kings. did find that the nike vapor vl is finally a vapor i can fit, with out haveing to wish for sixors to cut off a toe. but over all good advise thanks for the video.
I disagree with the comments on the adipures the second editions were not for wide fir and i never tried the third but i had the first edition and the latest edition in red and they are about the best boots i have ever worn. i have size 13 wide feet and i feel more comfortable in these cleats that any cleats i have ever worn. I look forward to trying the adipowers though
I have the t90 laser 3's and the tiempo air legend 3's......there pretty conftrable shoes but if u have wide feet and you want a boot with confort lightness and very very good quality I recoment the PIRMA MONACCO 3 they are the best shoe out there for people with wide feet its similar to the copa mundiales same touch but the pirmas are way lighter and dey cost around the same
@GolStoreUSA Can anyone help me i have the habbit of the side of the boots ripping my World cups lasted 1 season and i had the Adipower predators FG and they split after 3 games on the side, what boots should i try next? i really appreciate any help
Im getting a deal at a local store for the new releases, I have wide feet, and the options are, adipowers (dont be biased lol), legend IV, maestri II and vapor VII (i know i know) and of course I can't bring em outside and play with them, so i need advice for the comfiest and best touch for my wide feet, cheers buddy.
@deeaxident Sorry for the lateness of the reply, but of the lot, I highly recommend the adiPower's or Legend IV's. If you have really REALLY wide feet, the adiPower will be the only option that will actually work for you. The Maestri doesn't really stretch enough to help, and the Vapor VII's are right out.
@GolStoreUSA men im just 12 years old and im from portugal and im looking for some cheep recent boots and i don't find them in your website can you help me?
@mrwrinklewrinkle Not really, no. They will fit (somwhat), but they will end up hurting your foot ever so slightly until they just tear. Not ideal for the wide feet.
Are you sure that pred x's aren't for wide feet? Cuz I have a relatively narrow foot and I have to put bandaids on my 4th toe cuz when I tighten my boots the leather caves in and rubs on my toes and tears the skin off
@cmanslash They aren't for any damn feet, those boots are just awful. We've had that same issue with wide feet, narrow feet, average feet, any feet at all.
i have vapor 5s and my feet hurt after/during every practice and game and i believe tht they have a synthetic sock liner and i tend to get not blisters but inner blood bubbles that hurt and feel a little like sore callus. i dont know whether if i should go with adipowers, adipures, ctrs or tiempos. i shoot, cross, run back and forth (pretty much midfeilder) i want one tht fits all of these categories and still feel really comfortable. can you pleaasee help?! @GolStoreUSA hmm kk thanks man :D. so.. one more thing, i think i asked before but not sure lol. I see in some of ur vids u make deals with people, like might lower the price ro something (the comments) what kind of deal can u get me for some laser 3's?
@GolStoreUSA ok nd real quick... I saw ur T90 Laser 3 Review, u said the shot shield falls apart.. and I also saw ur AdiPower review.. are they about the same width as lasers? and which is better durability wise?
@Crazymex94 They are a little narrower than the Laser III's, but not a whole hell of a lot. The adiPower's are a little too young to see if they're more durable than a Laser III though.
@Crazymex94 Synthetic Laser III's: 6 Leather Laser III's: 7 adiPower's:5.5. Really only a guess though, only informed by the width of the material and the way the adiZero's acted at that width.
@GolStoreUSA oh and uhmm.. on some of ur vids i see u help out some people, like cut deals with them... What kind of deal can you gimme on the Maestri 2's or Laser 3's?
@GolStoreUSA i love ths vid, i cant thank u enough for this!! my feet r beyond wide, and im always afraid of buying cleats online because of the fit and I have a couple of questions. One, what about the adizeros? they any good? and the Mercurial Vapors, (not miracles or victory) but the pro ones, those any good? and the powercat, I hear pumas run a size small, that true? oh and how much wider is the laser compared to the maestri? Please and thanks. I cant thank u enough man!
@Crazymex94 The Vapors are fine boots, the adiZero's are too, but if your foot is "beyond wide," you will get very little satisfaction from them. The Powercats are the only Puma boot that doesn't run small like the rest, they are a true fit. The Laser III are negligibly wider than the Maestri's, but the Laser II's are much much wider, I highly recommend for the fat footed among us. And you're always welcome my friend.
@GolStoreUSA thank you! and I have just a few more questions... The new Puma V.1.11 seems wider, and they say (puma) its a wider fit, have you tryed those yet? they only recently came out.. And how much wider are the maestris compared to the lasers..? and one more question haha, the f50's and vapors are somewhat wide also, right?
@Crazymex94 To be honest, I have only been sampled on the v1.11's, and they didn't seem to be a noticeably wider fit, they are shaped differently however, they are shaped with more space in the midfoot, which is exactly what the v1.10's needed. As for the Vapor's and F50's, don't bother if you have wide feet, they simply break down too quickly. As for Maestri's, they are slightly narrower than the Laser's actually, and much narrower than a Laser II.
@Crazymex94 They actually feel a little more natural on ball contact, it follows the contours of your foot rather than the lacing. They aren't much narrower, they are a little more snug that's for sure.
hey there golstore (again) I can't find the zhero gravity's anywhere online for a good price, and I kinda wanna try out Lotto, cos i've had some really good feedback on them. So would you recommend the Fuerzapura L100 for a utility player? because I've found them online for like $75. thanks
@DANW1LLIAMS If you really want a Zhero Gravity, I will cut you a deal that will make your head spin. If you feel like a Fuerzapura is a better option (it is) then go with that one. If you want a similar deal on that one, also let me know. I would happy to help out.
@GolStoreUSA alright then, sounds like a fuerzapura would be good then. I'll have a mooch round and see if I can find a good deal, if not, I'll get back to you on them. thanks again.
actually the synthetic is probably one of the slimmest fits you'll find. I find the vapor vi alot wider and i have a medium to wide foot with a wide instep. the laser ii was wide but they changed the fit in the laser iii and its now extremely slim fit and the synthetic does NOT stretch, had them for 3 months hasnt stretched at all still get the same blisters everywhere
@ToggleMyJoystick I believe it, the synthetics aren't nearly as wide as the Laser II's were. If you think the II to the III was bad, wait until you see the IV's.
i want the Nike Women's CTR360 Maestri FG - White/Chlorine Blue/Metallic Silver/Black Firm Ground Soccer Shoes ..... how many sizes larger do i have to get for a womens shoe than a mens shoe
@GolStoreUSA Nike Women's CTR360 Maestri FG - White/Chlorine Blue/Metallic Silver/Black Firm Ground Soccer Shoes ..... how many sizes larfger to i have to get for a womens shoes than a mens shoe??
I've sent you a message as I couldn't ask the question in its entirety within a comment (limited characters) hope that's ok. Once again thanks for taking the time to make these vids
@CPras19 Great question, and one near and dear to my heart these days. Powercats are great, the studs are perfectly shaped for keeping your balance and distributing your weight. The Legend III's are another good one, but the IV's are even better (they'll be out in a month), and the Puma King's are also very good for a heavier dude. Check 'em out.
I've been looking at the Puma Powercats v1.10 and I really want them, but I have heard some problems on the durability of the cleat. So here's my question, if I buy them and they rip, does puma have a warranty for them? Also will they make a powercat v1.11?
@Heeziness They haven't decided if they're making a Powercat 1.11 yet, the 1.10 will hold until the start of '12. As for the Powercats, honestly they haven't been all that bad as far as durability is concerned. If you do have a problem, Puma does warranty their boots against defects for up to two years. It has to be a defective cleat though, and not just normal wear and tear. If you need some, let us know, and we'll see what we can get for you.
@FreeKicksPFC Cool cool, so a Maestri, adiZero, or adiPower would work nicely for you, they all have collapsible uppers that will lace to your foot's width.
@kevinonsale I'm not sure, to be honest, gridiron isn't my specialty. As for association football, the only place to find wide boots is on the manufacturer's website. So Nike.com or something like that, that's all I know, so try checking on their respective sites.
@SonyCamry They do tend to stretch a good deal, but they do have a durability issue when they're stretched too much. Folks have to keep in mind that Kanga-Lite is a synthetic after all and won't stretch the way a leather shoe would.
@GolStoreUSA I was looking at the adipure III's are you sure they are no good for wide feet? And also you forgot one boot. the asics. Asics are made like runners and they are probably the best boot for wide feet
@SonyCamry adiPure III's are right out for wide feet. The opening warps too much and your heel tends to come up and out of the shoe. It literally falls off your foot.
@kevinonsale The only shoes that come that wide are custom made on the manufacturer's sites. The only one that'll even go that wide be from Nike.com, they'll hook you up no problem, but we can't do anything like that, sorry.
Thank you! And just one more question. Are orthotics bad in the long run for soccer cleats? Will they mess up my game, cause more injury, etc. I do not know anyone who has orthotics for soccer and thinking you might know something from your customers . Thanks
@Faithman99 They aren't, people play in them all the time. They don't cause bad touches or hurt you or anything like that. You'll actually find that they help your feet a lot. In the long run, the biggest thing is getting the health of your legs and feet right, and orthotics are all about that, don't ignore the advice of your orthopedist, they won't steer you wrong. I speak from experience on this one.
Hey GolStore first I just wanted to say your reviews are great and keep up the good work. I want to ask you a question about which soccer cleats would be best for orthotics because I'm getting custom orthotics and I recently just got Maestri 2s and I don't know if I made the right choice.
@Faithman99 Let's see, yeah the Maestri's actually aren't that bad, they have a strange shape to them, so getting the orthotic in the first couple times is going to be tough. The two best shoes we've seen for orthotics (three actually) have been the Powerswerves (by extension the adiPowers), and the Copa Mundials. Another great shoe is the Powercats. A show with a narrow midfoot isn't going to do you any good, so avoid those, but otherwise it'll be a struggle the first few times.
@beano410 adiPure's are a gem for those narrow feet, but Mercurials make sense too. If you're into Puma a v1.08 is ideal, but if you're looking more current, go with a v1.10, not as comfortable, but still good.
@rilerr Honestly, having wide feet is such a subjective thing anyway, with most cleats it's all about where your foot is wide as opposed to what it wider or narrower. Some shoes work great with wide midfeet, but not wider toe boxes, I was just hoping to give people a general idea of what would work and what wouldn't if they were struggling with sizing. There are bound to be exceptions, that's for sure.
@RuddsFootballHD X's are a no, Powerswerves are a maybe, that one really depends on the shape of your foot. If your toe joints are wider, then no, but if your midfoot is wider, you're good to go.
@gunsnknife That has been known to happen in some cases, as with most leather shoes durability is a factor in stretching a pair of boots so much, but the majority of times, a Copa will work out. If you're tearing yours after any amount of time less than a full season, that should be returned as a defect. That shouldn't ever happen.
@GolStoreUSA Had a pair of copa mundials for 2 seasons, like slippers best boots out there, proving boots dont need to be bright red or blue. By far the most comfortable.
@1993Hollick We agree. It took me a long time to even try anything else out there, but when I did, I learned about other boots too. I recommend trying new stuff from time to time if you have the coin.
Do the Puma new powercat fir wide feet? thanks

GolStoreUSA 8 months ago
@GolStoreUSA thank you! and I have just a few more questions... The new Puma V.1.11 seems wider, and they say (puma) its a wider fit, have you tryed those yet? they only recently came out.. And how much wider are the maestris compared to the lasers..? and one more question haha, the f50's and vapors are somewhat wide also, right?
Crazymex94 8 months ago
@Crazymex94 To be honest, I have only been sampled on the v1.11's, and they didn't seem to be a noticeably wider fit, they are shaped differently however, they are shaped with more space in the midfoot, which is exactly what the v1.10's needed. As for the Vapor's and F50's, don't bother if you have wide feet, they simply break down too quickly. As for Maestri's, they are slightly narrower than the Laser's actually, and much narrower than a Laser II.
GolStoreUSA 8 months ago
@GolStoreUSA do the position of the laces on the maestris affect the ball contact? and how much narrower are they compared to the laser 3's?
Crazymex94 8 months ago
@Crazymex94 They actually feel a little more natural on ball contact, it follows the contours of your foot rather than the lacing. They aren't much narrower, they are a little more snug that's for sure.

hey there golstore (again) I can't find the zhero gravity's anywhere online for a good price, and I kinda wanna try out Lotto, cos i've had some really good feedback on them. So would you recommend the Fuerzapura L100 for a utility player? because I've found them online for like $75. thanks
DANW1LLIAMS 9 months ago
@DANW1LLIAMS If you really want a Zhero Gravity, I will cut you a deal that will make your head spin. If you feel like a Fuerzapura is a better option (it is) then go with that one. If you want a similar deal on that one, also let me know. I would happy to help out.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
@GolStoreUSA alright then, sounds like a fuerzapura would be good then. I'll have a mooch round and see if I can find a good deal, if not, I'll get back to you on them. thanks again.

How about wave ignitus?
callantajustin 9 months ago
@callantajustin Not sure, we've never had one here, so I can't say.

@GolstoreUSA is this boot a great replacement for my tiempos? i have a wide feet and i have a hard time finding a new replacement
g6g5g51 9 months ago
@g6g5g51 Which boot?
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
actually the synthetic is probably one of the slimmest fits you'll find.
ToggleMyJoystick 9 months ago
@ToggleMyJoystick I believe it, the synthetics aren't nearly as wide as the Laser II's were. If you think the II to the III was bad, wait until you see the IV's.

i want the Nike Women's CTR360 Maestri FG - White/Chlorine Blue/Metallic Silver/Black Firm Ground Soccer Shoes ..... how many sizes larger do i have to get for a womens shoe than a mens shoe
Xdbabiiliz 9 months ago
@Xdbabiiliz One full size is generally a good conversion point, especially with Nike. Just be careful, those women's CTR's have a real low profile.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
im getting the ctr360 maesrti ii do these cleats come .5 size smaller please respond quick
Xdbabiiliz 9 months ago
@Xdbabiiliz They do come in half sizes, which size are you looking for?

I've sent you a message as I couldn't ask the question in its entirety within a comment (limited characters) hope that's ok. Once again thanks for taking the time to make these vids

@MichaelEffort No problem, and messages are always fine.

@GolStoreUSA great, looking forward to your response :)

WHat do you recommend for heavy player???
CPras19 9 months ago
@CPras19 Great question, and one near and dear to my heart these days. Powercats are great, the studs are perfectly shaped for keeping your balance and distributing your weight. The Legend III's are another good one, but the IV's are even better (they'll be out in a month), and the Puma King's are also very good for a heavier dude. Check 'em out.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
@GolStoreUSA thanx
CPras19 9 months ago
I've been looking at the Puma Powercats v1.10 and I really want them, but I have heard some problems on the durability of the cleat. So here's my question, if I buy them and they rip, does puma have a warranty for them? Also will they make a powercat v1.11?
Heeziness 9 months ago
@Heeziness They haven't decided if they're making a Powercat 1.11 yet, the 1.10 will hold until the start of '12. As for the Powercats, honestly they haven't been all that bad as far as durability is concerned. If you do have a problem, Puma does warranty their boots against defects for up to two years. It has to be a defective cleat though, and not just normal wear and tear. If you need some, let us know, and we'll see what we can get for you.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
So no AdiZero or Vapor VII/Superfly then.
cali224 9 months ago
@cali224 Definitely not.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
which cleats do you recomend for someone with a narrow foot
12sebk 9 months ago
@12sebk Vapor VII's, adiPower's, adiZero's, definitely adiPure IV's, and v1.10's.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
@GolStoreUSA i play defense which cleats are best from the ones above
12sebk 9 months ago
@12sebk adiPower and the adiPure IV, they won't let you down.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
When I stand my feet are just under 5 inches wide. If you can find a boot that will fit that comfortably, I will love you forever.
fitzyuc 9 months ago
@fitzyuc I will look for something for you, but that's a darn wide foot!
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
@GolStoreUSA haha believe me, I know. My shoes are about size 12 or 13, but the football boots I have are size 14 and 15.
fitzyuc 9 months ago
@fitzyuc Gadzooks, you're a monster. Just kidding, but that's a massive freaking foot. I'll do my best to help you out though.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
i have the old ctr360 and they are very narrow but they look wide. i couldnt tell if you were trying to say they were wide. it sounded like it. :/
FreeKicksPFC 9 months ago
@FreeKicksPFC The old ones were good for some folks with wide midfeet, but not toe boxes.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
i like narrrow shoes and then letting the laces loose so your feet over hand only a couple of millimeters.
FreeKicksPFC 9 months ago
@FreeKicksPFC Cool cool, so a Maestri, adiZero, or adiPower would work nicely for you, they all have collapsible uppers that will lace to your foot's width.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
but for Football cleats as in american football, they dont really have any size 2E cleats, could you show me where you find it?
kevinonsale 9 months ago
@kevinonsale I'm not sure, to be honest, gridiron isn't my specialty. As for association football, the only place to find wide boots is on the manufacturer's website. So Nike.com or something like that, that's all I know, so try checking on their respective sites.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
Thanks!
Faithman99 9 months ago
actually the CTR's arnt that good for wide feet. I Have the maestri elites and they arnt very supportive
SonyCamry 9 months ago
@SonyCamry They do tend to stretch a good deal, but they do have a durability issue when they're stretched too much. Folks have to keep in mind that Kanga-Lite is a synthetic after all and won't stretch the way a leather shoe would.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
@GolStoreUSA I was looking at the adipure III's are you sure they are no good for wide feet? And also you forgot one boot. the asics. Asics are made like runners and they are probably the best boot for wide feet
SonyCamry 9 months ago
@SonyCamry adiPure III's are right out for wide feet. The opening warps too much and your heel tends to come up and out of the shoe. It literally falls off your foot.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
so which one is the best?
SonyCamry 9 months ago
@SonyCamry Best in terms of quality, price, or just fit and feel?
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
hi, first thank you for your helpful review, but is there any good wider football cleats? about 2E?
kevinonsale 9 months ago
@kevinonsale The only shoes that come that wide are custom made on the manufacturer's sites. The only one that'll even go that wide be from Nike.com, they'll hook you up no problem, but we can't do anything like that, sorry.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
Thank you! And just one more question. Are orthotics bad in the long run for soccer cleats? Will they mess up my game, cause more injury, etc. I do not know anyone who has orthotics for soccer and thinking you might know something from your customers . Thanks
Faithman99 9 months ago
@Faithman99 They aren't, people play in them all the time. They don't cause bad touches or hurt you or anything like that. You'll actually find that they help your feet a lot. In the long run, the biggest thing is getting the health of your legs and feet right, and orthotics are all about that, don't ignore the advice of your orthopedist, they won't steer you wrong. I speak from experience on this one.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
Hey GolStore first I just wanted to say your reviews are great and keep up the good work. I want to ask you a question about which soccer cleats would be best for orthotics because I'm getting custom orthotics and I recently just got Maestri 2s and I don't know if I made the right choice.
Faithman99 9 months ago
@Faithman99 Let's see, yeah the Maestri's actually aren't that bad, they have a strange shape to them, so getting the orthotic in the first couple times is going to be tough. The two best shoes we've seen for orthotics (three actually) have been the Powerswerves (by extension the adiPowers), and the Copa Mundials. Another great shoe is the Powercats. A show with a narrow midfoot isn't going to do you any good, so avoid those, but otherwise it'll be a struggle the first few times.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
Hey Golstore
Faithman99 9 months ago
@Faithman99 Hey!
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
I have a very narrow small foot and I don't know what cleats to get at all. I was thinking adipures or f50's but what do you think?
beano410 9 months ago
@beano410 adiPure's are a gem for those narrow feet, but Mercurials make sense too. If you're into Puma a v1.08 is ideal, but if you're looking more current, go with a v1.10, not as comfortable, but still good.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
i have a wide foot and ive had my adipures for half a year and no problems. and i know i have a wide foot, atleast thats what the docktor said
rilerr 9 months ago
@rilerr Honestly, having wide feet is such a subjective thing anyway, with most cleats it's all about where your foot is wide as opposed to what it wider or narrower. Some shoes work great with wide midfeet, but not wider toe boxes, I was just hoping to give people a general idea of what would work and what wouldn't if they were struggling with sizing. There are bound to be exceptions, that's for sure.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
What about Pred X's or Powerswerves ? And by the way.. i think i have an 'average to wide foot' so would i fit into F50's or Vapors etc ?
RuddsFootballHD 9 months ago
@RuddsFootballHD Shit i just realised you showed the Pred :o Sorry dude :P
RuddsFootballHD 9 months ago
@RuddsFootballHD Not a problem. I don't really have a problem helping people out.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
@RuddsFootballHD X's are a no, Powerswerves are a maybe, that one really depends on the shape of your foot. If your toe joints are wider, then no, but if your midfoot is wider, you're good to go.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
@RuddsFootballHD Sorry, as for average to wide, the F50 and Vapor should do just nicely for you.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
i wouldnt buy the copa mundials i have a pair and the sides will tear if u have wide feat in any case myne did
gunsnknife 9 months ago
@gunsnknife That has been known to happen in some cases, as with most leather shoes durability is a factor in stretching a pair of boots so much, but the majority of times, a Copa will work out. If you're tearing yours after any amount of time less than a full season, that should be returned as a defect. That shouldn't ever happen.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
@GolStoreUSA Had a pair of copa mundials for 2 seasons, like slippers best boots out there, proving boots dont need to be bright red or blue. By far the most comfortable.
1993Hollick 9 months ago
@1993Hollick We agree. It took me a long time to even try anything else out there, but when I did, I learned about other boots too. I recommend trying new stuff from time to time if you have the coin.
GolStoreUSA 9 months ago
@GolStoreUSA I would do if I still played had pair of lasers and tiempo's but always found myself going back to either my World Cups or Mundials.
1993Hollick 9 months ago
