my type! jesus christ, you really think you can categorize people that easily. i don't like this because it's stupid and not funny, not because its conservative. i am a conservative; i just don't want to see the political debate in this country taken down to this level: it's already bad enough. you really shouldn't look at people in terms of categories because 1. its fundamentally inaccurate and promotes a warped world view and 2. it makes you look like an ass.

1)Words are cheap, and saying that you're going to leave the country if THIS catches on versus all the things that HAVE caught on in this country (ie. Holywood?) does not sound very conservative, by any definition of the word. This implies 2)that it would be pathetically easy just to say you are a conservative to try to make me look like an ass. As to your own assumption: just how many people on which side do you think would agree with the original statement more?

look. i am not lying to you. it doesn't matter how many conservatives agree with my statement: there are gay conservatives for crying out loud. conservativism cannot sink to this level: our politicians aren't fiscally conservative anymore, and the debate itself is being demoralized and people can't understand where both sides are coming from and their motives and world views. this shit just makes conservatives look as mindless as liberals who just make fun of mark foley or ann coulter

I won't argue that many republicans abandoned their conservatism, that's why they weren't supported by their base, and lost elections in 06.
