I must say althought it's still a thrill to find out something more about your favorite movies it's once again a powerful statement in favor of editing and against those ultimate edition/extended director's cut edition .... this scene was average, unnecessary and would have slowed down the movie.
@audreyfan855 no but my dad's from there and he pretty much talks like that but most actors over do it that it's annoying. also they give people from boston a bad reputation, like we have no class.
i like how there are no cars driving threw the streets at that time of day and they are just standing in the middle of the street having a conversation! LOL
She says, "You were the only Sullivan in the phone book," because she was being a smartass. And then follows that sentence immediately up with, "We dropped you off here the other night, remember?"
kudos to the editor for cutting this scene from the film. its clear most of this is improvisation...this is why they invented DVDs with "deleted scenes".
Thanks Alex & Co. for the blog and the deleted scenes. This is my favorite movie of all time. I remember seeing the previews on the TV, where Matt Damon's character says, "Let the healing begin." I thought I was going to HATE this movie. I've never called it that wrong in my life, and thank God!
I own a published copy of the original screenplay. I read this scene and later when I saw the movie, I wondered why they didn't leave this in the movie. This heart-to-heart really worked. Here we see Chuckie and Skylar having some kind of chemistry. And Affleck himself needed more screen-time as Will's BFF. It was nice to see her connecting with his crowd.

NOTE: That's the movie "Ghost In The Shell" he's watching.
Amazing! I didn't even know these scenes existed! Good Will Hunting is my favorite movie of all times, so thanks a heap for putting this up. I also discovered your blog yesterday and I must say it's a great read. This movie really takes me back to my teens everytime I watch it. God I miss the 90'. Again, thanks for the vid!
@64Retro Wow; what a nice comment! Check out the Good Will Hunting DVD for more deleted scenes. This one with Chuckie and Skylar is one of the best though...
This is the actor from Dogma.

At the end when she said: "Why should I believe a word you say?"
He should have said: "Cause Cosmonauts don't lie."

Why are they walking in the middle of the road?

Wow. So glad they deleted this completely useless scene.
I was going to say that it's possible that the last 20 seconds redeem it, but even that part ends kind of ridiculously.

this deleted scene basically reveals what everyone really think about Will, and this is something that assured it as a reality in the film

This is a very well done scene but I guess I can see why they left it out.
