  • Jason Voorhees approves!

  • Where is Cold Steel located?Where are there products made?

  • @TheFailnoob we are located in Ventura, CA. Our products are manufactured world wide. Most items are made in Japan, USA, Taiwan, or China.

  • Does anyone know how Lynn Thompson makes his padded machetes and what materials he uses?

  • @kevin770 I believe we used wood, plastic, insulation foam and duct tape. I'll check and get back to you

  • well as for as Benchmade and Spyderco and Emerson - None have taken up Lynn Thompson on his knife challenge nor have they attempted the test performed on cold steel knives - So it makes you wonder - there is a YouTuber who test knives he tested a $300. Strider then tested a $35.00 cold steel G.I. Tanto the Cold steel performed much better for a 9th of the so go figure .

  • Watch the torture test videos of the CS G.I. Tanto on noss4 channel. That knife is tough.

  • I have it, the best stuff is in part 2 and 3, Lynn keep up your videos!

  • this is so stupid

  • hmm....

  • @USAdude30 Pocket bushman pretty much blows.

  • is this supposed to teach me something?

  • Hey, Cold Steel.... the video game Painkiller called and wants its music back....

  • "I'm Lynn Thompson.... I always carry my 'fighting machete' around with me... going to Starbucks, doing my banking, taking a shit...."

    Douche-iness is as douche-iness does...

  • @martinaee You're a retard. By your same logic a pump shotgun wouldn't be a good self defense weapon because you can't take it everywhere you go. Oh, and don't worry cupcake, taking a shit with a machete wouldn't be a problem for a real man.

  • @M3RJ Thanks for your response. A representative will get back to you shortly.... (or not)...

  • @martinaee Awww cupcake, did Cold Steel snub you? Poor little guy...

  • @M3RJ Snub me? lol I've never purchased anything from Cold Steel in my life lol...

  • @martinaee Oh, I see. So you're just another ignorant troll that makes comments on shit he has absolutely no experience with. By all means, continue wallowing in the mud.

  • @M3RJ LOL I didn't say anything bad about their actual products now did I...... I just have a problem with their marketing which I find to be cheesy and arrogant at the same time. Lynn Thompson has basically stated in the past that no other knife manufacturer's products are as good as theirs which is utter bs. Benchmade and Spyderco have ridiculously high quality knives. You don't have to agree with me.

  • ooh shit....imagine if Michael took machete fighting classes.....

  • @LiteScar ... he teaches them already

  • @TheSmackfan101 michael from the horror films of Halloween. guys from freedy vs jason

  • @LiteScar i know... i was joking. you'll see what i was referencing if you pause the video at 0:42 the dude in the mask

  • music videos sure have come a long way

  • am i going to hell if i laughed my ass off?

  • How Fuckin Stupid!! What Machete Isn't A Fighting Machete?? WTF

  • The big guy reminds me of one of my football coaches... He can do shit some of the skinner guys on our team cant do

  • Where can I get those foam machetes for sparring?

  • its cool, but what 2 people have a machete at the time they are about to fight?

  • HUMM REALLY DIFFRENT THEN HAITIAN MACHETTE FIGHTING TECHNIQUES ...CHECK IT OUT....U GOT FIGHT CLOSER TO YOUR OPPONENT.....FOR PRACTICING...

  • I'm sure this will come in handy if i ever get in a machete fight -_-

  • Ooh! Not avaliable in Spain!!! :(

  • no need to hide ur DVD title with a cool name, we know it's just larping.

  • YOU WANT A REAL MACHETEE FIGHT AND NOT THIS BULLSHIT...COME CHECK OUT THE TRINITARIOS FROM NEW YORK

  • @carameloxx You want a real fight...don't trust random "tough" guys on the internet.

  • @wormer104 YOU DOING THAT TO ME NOW YOU FUCKEN HIPOCRIT

  • @carameloxx No I'm not. You are acting like billy badass online...as if it matters.

The ONLY people who glorify "real" bladefighting are those who've never seen the real thing to begin with.

  • @wormer104 you should come out check out the trinitarios from new work...THE REAL PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN

  • @carameloxx Or as real as people using blunted blades can be.

  • this is a worth while video.I think it will be enjoyable to watch

in fact this video is on my to buy list

I imagine this would be in line with how pirates would have fought with their cutlesses back in the day of the tall wooden ships

  • the fat dude is quick...

  • KonstantinKuehn mashetes has been used as weopans for generations, i find your views rediculous.

  • god this is soooo lame! why the fuck would u use a machete for combat! they arent meant for that! they are utilitarian blades.. if u grind them to be a combat blade it only impedes on the utilitarian functions of the design..... i find this ridiculous.

  • @KonstantinKuehn Kitchen Knives are made to prepare food , most people in America killed by knives are kitchen knives .

  • @mwillblade why use a knife when you can use a gun?

  • @GetitUnderCool Why use a gun when you can use a machete + oldschool hockey mask?

  • @KonstantinKuehn Maybe where you are from, but it in other places *cough*caribe*cough* they are seen as a combat weapon.Or as they call it an all purpose tool.

  • Pinche gordo loco!!!

  • He looks like that guy from Deadwood. Captain Turner, or whatever the hell he was called.

  • You can Download this Search google for 'TheNewsBuzz"

  • @magnusXbane: I see you're 19. I'll forgive you for being an asshole, most teenagers are idiots!

  • @azvideoguy

thumbs up on that one big boy

  • @azvideoguy

thumbs up on that one big boy

  • thumbs up on that one big boy

  • People are often surprised at my speed when I go for a sandwich...

  • @krashly71 loooool good one u made me actually laugh out loud!

  • You can tell that cold steel trained with the Atienza boys before they shot this video...

  • @ckmkaliguy --Yep, Lynn C. Thompson has studied Kali and other arts for years!

  • Ya move good for a wide body! I like your intergrated block and counter moves. Ya got good atitude man.

  • If you guys are interested in fighting with similar weapons, look up how to fight with the messer. Most of the principals are the same.

    M.

  • as the most used edge tool all around the world. it's also the most easy one to find and for a fair price.

the machete as you can see in this video can be convert to a extremly deadly weapon in the hand of people train to use that kind of weapon .

  • Unleash your inner Jason Voorhees! Heh, heh.

  • I love how Lynn shows that we bigger guys can move! He has coordination, balance, and quickness. People are often surprised on my speed when I attack them with a "blade".

  • @azvideoguy same here when my friends and i spar in the ring they are surprised i move the way i do

  • @azvideoguy

I should think ANYONE would be surprised if they were attacked with a blade.

That would give you the delusion that you were quick.

  • @loki1066 --I've been attacked with a blade twice, 1st time over 20 years ago, an attempted mugging,(I guess) radical dislocation of the elbow on his second slash at my eyes , and about 5 years ago, a guy with huge chip on his shoulder, small and quick, disarmed, and smashed nose. I started wrestling at age 8, played fullback and strong-side defensive end in football, and studied martial arts for years, so I'm not slow by anyone's definition!

  • @azvideoguy

Ah , I see the problem.

You said, and I quote " People are often surprised on my speed when I ATTACK them with a "blade"."

What you MEANT , if I'm correct , is People are often surprised by my speed when I'm attacked and DEFEND MYSELF with a "blade".

Now that's more impressive. What YOU said in the first place made you sound like the initial aggressor.

  • @loki1066 --Sorry, I guess I wasn't too clear from the beginning, In my style of martial arts, we are trained from the very beginning to defend a knife attack, which is, as you know, one of the most common weapons one would encounter on the street, so not only do you learn to defend, you learn to attack with a blade, and when someone new would get on the mat with me, thinking I might be slow, they encounter a very quick attack which usually pushes their "OH SH*T", button! lol!

  • @loki1066--The first time my Sensei attacked me with a rubber knife, I went, "OH SHIT", and everybody laughed! He had been a Force Recon Marine, and he was SO frickin' fast it scared me! lol! I've never seen anyone that quick since!

  • @azvideoguy

We train with the thick blunt metal blunt blades from the starting point of being unarmed and being attacked , ' minimising' the the amount of injuries we receive grabbing the arm where it's moving slowest, near the shoulder, and follow it down to the knife hand, then hopefully breaking the knife arm. I'm not so happy about this as you WILL get cut. My choice would be to fight fire with fire , but we live in the UK and just carrying a folding knife that locks will get you jailed

  • @loki1066 -- Been attacked a few times with blades, never cut! it is possible to avoid it, it's all in the timing and technique, as my Sensei would put it, allow the knife to cut the buttons off, then he's yours. Hard to stand still till the last possible moment, but the pay-off is complete surprise.

  • @azvideoguy

Does your sensei stand to inherit anything in the event of your ... 'demise'?????

  • @loki1066 what is the minimum length of the blade for a knife to be considered illegal in Great Britain?

  • @GetitUnderCool England????? I dont know about length in england but for sure it must be ilegal, what do you expect from a pro-communist country where the citizen allow the gobernment to take their guns away?????

  • @GetitUnderCool under three inches, non locking knife. law rape or what?

  • @azvideoguy im sure you attack with a blade very often, a few times a day at the mayonnaise and mustard??

  • @azvideoguy Not to mention a gut also sometimes has some tactical advantages.

  • Your angles are good.

  • Heading for a beheading!

  • Fuckin' sick
