While there may be a certain 'campy charm' to Batman and the Joker 'surfing it out to speak,' I have to admit I agree with Adam West. He felt this was a real low point. In his own words: "Surfing in the Batsuit was a low point for me. We crossed the line between parody and stupidity in this show I fear."

Compare this episode to "The Joker Is Wild," and you will see how the show started with a good mixture of comedy and darkness, and then fell into this sheer stupidity.

I went to that Hang Five many, many times, on the actual beach. It really was a snack stand, called something else. Therefore, it is a real rush to see the actual beach where I grew up, Torrance Beach.

If they were part of fading 1960s television show, Bale and Ledger damn well would be surfing. Better question is imagine what Romero and West acting out the interrogation scene in Dark Knight. I think they would have done a far better job than Bale and Ledger did.

It was used in all the third season Joker Episodes, the first half of the two part Shame episode, and the Dr. Cassandra Episode. I agree it was the best fight music in the series.
