Its very Sherlock/Watson. Like Holmes, Morse isn't really capable of giving himself to anyone but he cares about his partner more than anyone else. I must admit...I thought I picked a little 'tension' between them on occasion - as I have with Sherlock.."Watson! Watson!...Say you're not hurt!".

I think there is a father-son relationship between Morse and Lewis. Last episode is the confirmation that Morse love Lewis like son. They were real friend.

This is a lovely video and great song. Makes me miss John Thaw even more. I believe there was true affection between Morse and Lewis. I do not watch Lewis. Cannot bear to see Lewis without Morse. Too sad.

dont think lewis and hatherway have the same dynamics as morse and lewis did loved morse as a series have seen them all and got them on dvd so can watch anytime john thaw was brill actor and is sadly missed by many

Great work! Inspector Morse is my favorite TV show of all time. A perfect show. I faithfully watch Inspector Lewis and I do enjoy it, but I do miss the Chief Inspector.

Beautiful video, but lovers? no way. Lewis is a family man, home and hearth, down to his shoes. And Morse did not "love" Lewis the way Lewis respected and felt comradeship with Morse. Morse wasn't that type of person. For one thing he was always infatuated with some beautiful woman somewhere. And he had to trip over Lewis' decency towards him to realize, and only then very rarely, what a good man Lewis was. But Morse didn't sustain revelations like that for very long.
