Why would you want a .45 auto?

For a zombie horde you want a Calico M950 9mm. The magazine holds 100 bullets, not 7 like a colt .45...

@DGneoseeker1 ...well I and a lot of shooters prefer 1911s and the .45acp is a proven man-stopper. Pop them in the head and they're dead. And it's not the only firearm or weapon I carry.

I have (8) round Kimber KimPro Tac-mags in my Springfield Armory 1911-A1 .45acp and (10) round Chip Mccormick Power 10 (10) round spares...

"Spray and Pray" 100 rnds down range and you're bound to hit something. I prefer to hit and kill what i aim at...lol!

I meant the Calico M950 semi-auto pistol, not the full auto version. It's actually quite accurate. No real disadvantage in using it, plus you get 100 shots before reloading. I really, really, would not want to get caught reloading with zombies after me.

Which is the number one reason why hell would freeze over before I'd ever try using a shotgun against the undead. Too damn slow.

On the note of caliber, in the situation of a zombie apocalypse... you don't expect to only kill zombies, do you? There are going to be wild animals you might have to kill for food, other humans you might have to kill in defense. Stopping power is always legitimate.

unfortunately fire weapons will not be enough when facing a zombie apocalypse because with that ammo that you showed us will run out quickly maybe all in one day depending on how many zombies are after you. I have read both novels from Brooks (Survival Guide & World War Z) I recommend you stock up on a machete or a blade weapon like a katana

I think the mossberg has a 10 round extra loader for the shotguns, you should get one , because in the movies they always run out of ammo in critical situations...so the more ammo the better chances we have..hahahahaha, the same for the handgun, lots of mags....

About something sharp... I prefer the cold steel kukri magnum and the United Cutlery M48 commando kukri, which are goods chopping heads off...
