I really like this track. My hobby is to rediscover all those great bands from the 60s that didn´t "broke through". It´s a fantastic musical treasure. Listen (Youtube) for example to:
THE ZETTLERS and their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah".
Really f........g good with a bloody driving beat.
THE GOLLIWOGS and the song "Tell me". Check up the singer...Yes, it´s him!!
Hard as nails. Drivin'. I wonder if any "motorcycle people" dropped a coin in the 'box for this one, back then?! A great cut for a period-perfect soundtrack.
Ron Cox (drums, vocals), Mike Shapiro (lead guitar), Steve Leidenthal (bass), Greg Rolie (keyboards). Greg later played keyboards with Santana and Journey.
A roadhouse somewhere in California circa 1966. A handful of riders pull up on some really righteous choppers (apehangers, upswept pipes, and chromed to the max). This is the first tune they play on the jukebox. Liar, Liar by The Castaways is up next. Something out of a Roger Corman bike flick.
@wonderlin1 To some (like me) this music never died off. It's great to know that listeners (like you) are discovering this great and nearly-forgotten sound. Music such as this might be "crude" by today's standards, but, it still has a high-energy, jump-up-and-down sound that today's "music" can't get near at all. If you dig this, you'll dig tunes like The Chocolate Watchband's version of Wilson Pickett's The Midnight Hour, or, The Chocolate Watchband's Are You Gonna Be There (At the Love-in)?.
What The? The clock turns on the Dahli Clock!!!! Tha's Freaking Awesome Man, well the tunes too cause "I'm sitting Here Stoned" Lyrics and the melody to rock out!

The drum beat sounds like punk rock. Love this song.

This sounds a bit like Psychotic Reaction by The Count Five. Great tune anyway!
