Mine's an 02 VL800 as well, and a great bike! I've had it just over a year now and put 8K miles on her. Planning a 12 hr ride to Alabama this spring. Just love it!

That bike is identical to my 02 Vol. I rode it to the dragon's tail about a month and a half ago. It did great.
