Green house theory is not true because:

1) IR radiation is not necessarily heat.

2) The laws of Thermodynamics cannot be broken- in particular , heat always passes from hot to cold, never the other way round.

3) A body that is hot enough to emit radiation of a certain wavelength cannot be heated by it's own radiation. That is because the body is already hot enough to be emitting at that wavelength, so its own back- scattered radiation will merely be scattered back and not further heat the body.
