Ok, thanks for clarifying...You're right about God getting the credit. The sermon that really changed my life was Joel's on "Self Control and Discipline". He lead me to Hebrews 12:11 which was very powerful for me, just one of the many verses over the years that have helped me make better decisions. Charles Stanley is another favorite of mine, any thoughts on him? Thanks again for responding:)
And thank you for your reply. Yes, I love Charles Stanley. I don't listen to him as much, but God did use him to encourage me in my walk with the Lord, especially in my early years. Some good books from him too. Take care.
Me and my friend are singing this song at a youth rally tonight! Love this song, and pray that the Lord will use it to bless someone that is listening. This song means so much to me. :) <3
Thanks for putting this together! AMEN and HALLELUJAH to our needing to answer to HIS call of being HIS representatives and Ambassadors of the message of Reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:19-20)!!
The graphic used at "Where are you supposed to stand" is exactly the graphic that my book publisher chose for the front cover of the book detailing my standing in the darkness following the 04-16-07 VT Tragedy and shining HIS light everywhere I have found myself.
Great song...please don't show Joel Osteen....he has nothing to do with the true gospel.....all the poor, our christian brothers and sisters who die of starvation, who are murdered and raped...they don't fit his prosperity gospel.
@btbtom So you are a Christian, but you are leaving out Joel Osteen? Be careful.....He has changed many lives including mine. If you think he has a dishonest bone in his body, I would recommend reading his books and listening to his sermons on line.
I have listened to sermons and read his material.. prosperity only. No material about suffering for Christ by financial loss, losing friends (for following Christ). persecution (seized wealth, raped, murdered, widowed etc) all for he sake of Christ. God can use anyone to change our lives or lead us to Him, as the Bible has many examples. It wasn't Joel Olsteen who changed your life, it was God. Give him the credit.
God prospers yes, but I don't see a good balance in his teaching.
Also, try John MaCarthurs on Olsteen. He looks at his view in light of the bible as I try to do. I do pray the best for you and your relationship with the Lord. Sometimes I have short, curt answers that are not very kind...one problem with youtube commenting is the shortness of it all. I follow voice of the martyrs ministries. If we as Christians only follow prosperity, we forget about our brethren suffering great losses for Jesus. God bless.
@rala3 the original singer of this song is Al Denson..there is one video on youtube of it but its of poor quality but still sooooo beautiful (: God bless you
Wow what a great video....thank you! With The Holy Spirit's help I will be the one!God bless THE OLD TIME WAY!KJB,Soul Winning,Bus routes, and OLD Fashioned Religion! And the ONE and TRUE Gospel Jesus ONLY for SALVATION!
i can somehow relate to this song.
