  • Me too. Model Master paint sucks and never turns out right. even when it does turn out good the model still looks like some cheap die-cast model since the paint goes on so think. I stick with tamiya for everything, paints, model kits, glue, filler, you name it. Tamiya's THE BEST

  • you have to be smarter than the product you use ,,, I'm surprised how many people don't follow the directions on the can or website

  • Be sure to watch your respray windows. That's what truly causes this problem. If you spray your first coat and it says to spray the second coat within one hour and you spray the second coat 4 hours later, your paint will wrinkle up like that.

  • @TaylorSchlager Nice!

  • Hey is there any way to prevent the paint from forming wrinkles like that cuz same thing happened to me before ?

  • @DAtNizzaYOuKnOw You're spraying too close and too thick. Temperature can also play a factor.

  • Hi guys I use model master all the time and they the best paint you can get by far. Mind you I don,t use spray cans I use Airbrushers

  • Tamiya is the way to go! Best paint ever!!!

  • This guy needs to read up on the basics of painting with any paint! This is caused by a foreign agent or material on the surface before the paint was applied. They call this "lifting". The foreign material prevented the paint from adhering. You might also call this stupidity. Try cleaning the surface first with a thinner, wash with soap and water (rinsing all soap completely), allow it to dry, then paint it with light coats. This guy doesn't know what he is doing! DUH!

  • did u put primer first before u sprayed it

  • If you can't paint with aModel Master rattlecan, you can't paint...

  • was the glumpy paint job laid down before or after consumption of that

medicine thats on the table to the right of the screen?

  • omg this guys dosnt know what he is doing , any paint will do that if the surface isnt clean , E oild from hands and also when he painted it , the temp was to cold, i build boats for a living and paint ally , and if its to cold or notwashed proply it does exacly what he just showd you , but a nub will alway blame the paint and not himself, its just easyer that way .

  • Lurn too spel rite.

  • @Mr40up actually I've used Model Master spray paint recently and there's 2 problems.

    1. The paint sprays out like a damn fire-hose, the nozel is crap at keeping a modest spray coming out wich is rediculous considering it's meant to be used on small objects such as model cars.

    2. It lays down hella thick, good luck with joint rub if you plan on spraying something with oposable joints.

  • model master paint suck ass big time. i wasted almost 40 buck on those dam paints and try to get a refund or compliants..they always say go buy another one..

but when i used the tamiya one..is like way better and can't even known it was so beautiful. i thought i was dreaming and i was so happy!!!!

  • 0:57...That´s Testors for you...That´s how my paint coat ALWAYS end up looking when using Testors spray cans and i will never buy any of their paint again (have tried the three times). Naah, a airbrush is the way to go if you like to stay out of trouble! Badgers #150 is a good one and i have never regretted buying one. :-)

  • I HATE model masters I have used before and had a ton of paint jobs shoot weird or clump. Drip when I was doing a dust coat? I hate it I only use their flat black because it is the cheapest and is ok.Tamiya may be $5 more per can but I have never had a probelm with it. Its all just preference though

  • Man what causes that? I use model master for years on my orguss, zoids and macross kits but never seen anything like that, i do have complaints about the buffable metalizer paints tho.

  • Too thick and heavy a coat. Temperature could have something to do with it too.

  • I thought that shuttle was gonna go to the great model bits box in the sky...glad to see it's surviving. :D

  • Whats your hobby?

  • Scale models. Stop on by my channel and have a look around.

  • @ModelManTom

i learned while using spray paint that if you wash the surface a few times and actually use your hands or a chop stick to hold it up that you get a really smooth surface
