well,we will never know because he's dead but he definitely created what has come to be a big part of landau,srv and many more great players style. it's the natural progression for players that came along later to take the concepts of their heroes and expand on it and raise the bar. mike has done that for sure and i'm sure jimi's looking down smiling every time mike hits a note.
No disrespect intended to Jimi but I very much doubt he had or ever would have had the self discipline to develop the technique that Mike has .. as fabulous as Jimi was when he was at his best .
Ha, ha, ha. Hendrix had plenty of discipline. Really, his downfall was his addiction problem. In any case, no matter how you slice it, with all due respect to Mr. Landau, Hendrix was the bigger and most influential innovator of the two geniuses.
@n2motocross why more? Why not 'almost as many', or 'as much'? I mean Van Gogh is pretty high up there, so is ML but megalomaniac hyping won't better his already flawless reputation.
