Shoud've went with the translated Japanese text instead. But that isn't my real criticism. This doesn't capture what I felt or thought at all with the original musical score. This is whimsical and too many notes are subdued. 

Not that it isn't evident of good work, it just isn't the end product I would have wanted. Everything seems too slow in tempo, too "trying-to-be-dramatic" and the bass-based parts following the horn intro are seemingly lost. Ehh, it's your vision, I learn from that.

i'm just not a fan. the presentation seems uneven. i appreciate what you were trying to do, but some of the graphics that you used just didn't feel right, although i understand you were trying to piece things together.

also, if you make another attempt with this specific game and video i recommend you at least consider "enter the killer" - by goat. just my opinion but it's hands down the best remix i've heard of the cviii opening cinematic.

You're mixing things. The script from this intro itself DOES seem rather conflicting. The thing is, the Belmont were exiled from Wallachia, but Trevor took the job of killing Dracula up to himself, nobody asked him to do it. But, as he defeated Dracula, the Belmont clan was once again admitted on Wallachia. Or somehting like that, I dunno D:

I was gonna give this some credit but what the FUCK is with the missing music at 0:14 ?? I was ready to pop a boner at an updated version of the part that SHOULD have followed but you failed. Hard fail. I guess what you did have was good but missing the BEST part of the intro is a sin. Major fuck-up I think. Go back in there and edit it. That's like redoing the Star Wars theme and missing tons of sound channels...

Your most professional looking one is the Actraiser one and the 2 Zelda ones are awesome cuz the music you chose also happen to be my 2 favorite Zelda remixes ever.

Yep. I blamed the author of the view without realizing it wasn't his remix. I think he should choose a better one though because yes I think that is by far the best part of the track. Especially the Japanese famicom version, listen to that one if you really love that part!!

If Konami were to remake Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, it would probably be remade for PSP with 2.5D graphics. I would suggest an HD 2.5D remake on XBLA and PSN.

I agree with you on that. I prefer the PS3 and 360 over the Wii, DS, and PSP. Therefore, Castlevania III should be remade for XBLA and PSN with 1080p 2.5D graphics. The PSP remake of Dracula X was not good enough.

Even for a 1990 NES game, Castlevania III has one of the most epic intros this gamer has ever seen.

The continent of Europe: scorched in flames, the innocent slain without mercy, the undead plagues the land, and a Count who dines at nightfall... Belmont then appears to bring peace and order to this suffering land. This is what makes games like these timeless classics. And I dare ANYONE to try and prove me wrong.

I think the reviewer at The Castlevania Dungeon was sort of (sort of) saying that Curse of Darkness should have been a remake (or at least have strong similarities) to Castlevania III.

That would be awesome. And this would be perfect for an opening to it.
