Sure, most of those girls in these videos do well at Nationals and at Classics, but I think what the judges should be aware of is which ones can handle so much pressure. I mean, look at Bross in Finals. She had back-to-back falls on that dismount and that was on the day of Nationals. @Twurlygurly2011 It was Bross' first meet back from her injury? And if you watched Shawn's meet at Pan Am's (the meet she went to instead of Worlds) she definitely was not ready for worlds. I'd sent Bross way over Shawn. And Alicia and Raisman have similar strengths. I doubt both of them would make it. I'd bet on Raisman because she has been solid, and she has a slight edge on vault and floor compared to Alicia.

(sacramone, Johnson, Memmel, now Liukin too). hm, maybe those seven should make up the team! .....or are we down to 6 nowadays?

Anyone noticed that when Aly Raisman hugged a gymnast such as McKayla Maroney. That particular gymnast was on the 2011 world team. Aly knew that she was on the team before hand and she got to pick the girls to be on her team. Just watch it.

@seanthefriendlywhale I was really happy for her too, thats huge, a brand new junior making those amazing vaults, just hope she ups her skills on the rest of the routines, she has tough competition with those vets coming back.
@kstev2424 I was thinking the exact same thing! Sure, Bridgette had that big mistake where the grip messed her up, and a few other little mistakes here and there, but I wouldn't call it a disaster in any sense.
Is incredibly how huge are the execution marks compared with the European Championships. Izbasa stick both of her vaults and she got 8.9 and 9.05 for execution with perfect legs, body position and landing. Only one small adjustment on the landing from the first vault, that is, less than 2 cm adjustment. You wont see those kind of scores at the worlds. Also, for the lady who jumped Amanar, her legs are losing form before landing... and 9,5 for execution.
McKayla Maroney is awesome in vault.. She and Alicia are my 2 favorite vaulters. I actually got the chance to meet Alicia when I was In level 9 last year. She's amazing and funny. Now I'm in level 10 and want to meet McKayla lol.

@MusicDory17 it's the number of the vault, every vault has it's own number, that way the judges know what's coming up. 434 is a yurchenko 2/2.. 435 is en amanar (yurchenko 3/2)
actually, she slightly bends her knees when she begins the second twist, it's almost imperceptible but it is there... but that's about it, a really impressive vault, I'd say second best behind Cheng Fei's. Of course, when you're coached by Mr. Akopian on vault, you couldn't expect any less. :o)
