I would agree that 4 electricts is a bit overkill. Collective Soul pulled it off, but they are all playing different things. A full sound? i think U2 has a pretty full sound = 1 electric. it depends on how you play and what effects you use. i would take 2 of those electrics and make them play different instruments. perhaps an acoustic, or piano? thats just me tho. im really not a fan of just layering the same sound, it just gets messy and just becomes noise...

@thekernstang I'm with you brother. Two or three skilled guitar players fill out the sound so much, plus if they're not all hammering the same chords at the same time, you can make the song sound so interesting. These guys are pretty darn good.

I feel sometimes that some of the younger kids go to church because their parents make them and etc. usually to a church that isn't (IMHO) reaching out to the youth and younger people and setting them on fire to Jesus (so to speak). In other words they never really develop a real close relationship with Jesus.

Dove awards are awarded for their album and popularity, not their ability to sing live. Since I haven't seen them live I really have no idea how good they are now. When he comes to my area I will check him out because I like his album.

I understand the early in their career comment. It takes a group time to get their live concerts sounding good. I know because I play in a band. The mixing, becoming comfortable, etc. doesn't come overnight.
