  • Why does this song have an end??

  • One of my favourite bits of this track:

    8:44 - 9:29

  • @veyronjedi One of MY favourite bits of this track:

    00:00 - 11:25

  • Here in Greece the new cd i can t find nowhere!!!it s a shame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!we can only buy it from the internet!!

  • haha i can't believe it!

The ending from outcry is the beginning of as i am and the ending of six degrees of inner turbulence!!!

  • @MlKEPORNTOY go fuck yourself !! i see that u spammin on every DT video. get a life!

  • @MlKEPORNTOY im pretty sure wait for sleep is written by dream theater so..........not a rip off.

  • @MlKEPORNTOY aren't you the guy that goes around disliking everything dream theater without portnoy? I get it, and agree, he fit better, but it's BORING! get over it. I have. Mangini's awesome, even if portnoy was better fitting.

  • Rudess' magic in every song..... that guy is bloody fantastic!

  • I find it odd. In some songs from this album, people are wailing on it in the comments, then in other videos it's being endlessly praised. Huzzah for DT confusing us all =D. Great album! I'm liking it more the more I listen!

  • The very beginning reminds me of 'In the presence of enemies part 2"! Love it!

  • 8:27 - 8:43 My soul try to escape from my body...

8:44 ... It just fail... and return to me....

Personally I like this song from 0:00 to 11:25 (:

  • if you were to hear the outcry you would have wanted to run. I know the outcry. I lived the outcry

  • mmmm... I want to say one thing: Mike Portnoy

  • God Bless Dream Theater I Love You all with all my LOVE Tim:)

  • My new slant on life... a song isnt a song untill its 11 minutes long haha

  • DT pour thier heart and soul out for the True God. They know that He will give them the desires of thier heart in heaven. They do not wish for you to worship them, They are asking you to believe in God, so that when in heaven, they will not be stuck with the worldly knowledge of music. God has scales bigger than our imagination. Believe in God and join them in heaven. Thank God for thier blessing to us here on earth. God Bless you DT I am listening to you now.

  • Yeah, sure i miss Portnoy...but i thought would miss him more!

  • The final of the song reminds me Grand Finale from Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence.

  • There's Ronald mc donald!!

  • so far i like everything dream theater comes up with. it doesnt matter if its more metal or more progressive. dream theater cant go wrong

  • @ibafish Thats because you like metal... ADTOE is progresive album, what we, dream fans, where waiting since 1999...

    Good luck!

  • @begarnham I sense you're trying to say that we're not dream fans cuz we like from images and words til black clouds ? I love DT, progressive or metal, conceptual or instrumental, it's great !!!

  • Dark Clouds is a nice album, but too complacent: they simply did not push the boundaries of their talent. On the contrary, Dream Theater knew that ADTOE would be endlessly assessed and scrutinized, so they had to produce some major work, to prove that they could carry on with Portnoy. They did.

  • Hey Charlie Sheen..Dream Theater is WINNING, get your facts straight

  • @Theaterofdreams12 : DT & 2&1/2 Men have proven that NO ONE is indispensable to carry on

  • I have an orgasm after 8:50

  • At 8:44 they need a voice over.. "South east winds light and variable. Expect 30% chance of rain, here is your local forecast."

  • The opening has an EPIC feel to it

  • @ 8:43 it sounds like elevator music.

  • The music on this song is amazing, but i think James's voice lets this album down a bit... Doesn't sound like he's putting everything he's got into hs performance which is a bit of a disappointment

  • @Freyjadotter you should check out good charlotte, they might be up your musical taste alley

  • @Freyjadotter Would like to know which kind of music you're used to listen to....

  • 2 days until the best concert of my Life!!

  • @mrguitarguy127 mine is on oct 3rd :D

  • ahhh those chords in the begnning, bravo jp! and also i really hope labrie can finally sleep at night knowing he made an album with the most fantastic vocals since he messed up his voice in 02. This is gonna be on hell of a concert when i see them

  • 4:03 to 4:23 reminds me of "Duel With The Devil" (Transatlantic)

  • The ending sounds like Six Degrees

  • 8:43 sounds like my local tv channel's "weather on the hour"

  • @manji575 haha your right, i guess all weather channels have that kinda sound

  • Did Mike write most of the music for DT before he left? It seems like it, and if so, he was the best part because this album has been nothing but disappointment from what I'm heard so far.

I will continue listening but my perception has been damaged

  • @InSingularity edit: PORTNOY! Not the new Mike :/

  • @InSingularity No Portnoy didnt write anything on this album, An outline of the drums were created by Petrucci before Mangini was selected as the new drummer. Mangini simply put his own spin on the outline. Mangini will shine as himself on the next album, as Rudess did on SDOIT

  • @Theaterofdreams12 I was asking about whether he wrote most of the music for previous albums. Because without him they're struggling as songwriters it seems

  • @InSingularity Most was done by Petrucci. Theyre delving back into their old progressive form, its not for everyone, but if you go more than 10 years back and listen to that stuff, what theyre doing now will make complete sense

  • @InSingularity They actually regained their songwriting abilities. BC&SL was full of great ideas, but only Wither and Count of Tuscany felt complete. Rest was just a bunch of riffs thrown into one track, without coherency. SC had few such things, too. Maybe this album has slightly less great ideas than BC&SL, but the songs are definetely better structured, and this makes this cd way better than former one, which, imho, could fight for title of the worst DT album along with FII.

  • @TTommyth im not agreeing or disagreeing with what u said, i just think it's slightly comical that you're criticizing their composing abilities when they all went to berklee ><

unless u went there too..... in that case i apologize for the jest :D

  • @AoLIronmaiden If I don't play professional football I cannot tell which player is good? If I'm not a politician I cannot say whether the other politicians are right or wrong? I'm not doing in-depth analysis of their songs, but my non-perfect-pitched ears can still hear that this particular interlude doesn't go well with other parts of the song. Then, for me, their composing skills got worse, since previous songs didn't have these problems.

Of course, this is still MY point of view.

  • @InSingularity He played a major role i think. Just as Lars Ulrich is to Metallica, he co-writes every song and Im pretty sure he does structuring most of the time. Im pretty disappointed myself. Just a let down.

  • HMV isn't stocking this and they are the only new music store around here. I'll have to wait for Amazon to ship this out.

As if I needed another reason to hate HMV...

  • @jklinders really? i managed to get this and the new primus album the other day in HMV which i wasnt expecting to...they had them right at the front in the new releases as well :p

  • This almost perfectly describes the book I'm writing.

  • Anyone think is...AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I always feel so epic when I listen to Dream theater, anyone else get the feeling too when they listen DT? so epic

  • @squeelthis

Well, there's always a balance. For instance like Tool, they don't really play solos but they're excellent musicians.

  • seeing DT in less than a month!!! askjlfaskjlfaekjlfelfkjaeflkajshflsdflskjdfhj :)

  • You can really hear Rudess' influence on this album. It's awesome.

  • Seeing DT in February! Can't wait! This album is their best since Octavarium!

  • @DonkeyDood15 i think black clouds and silver linings is better than octavarium. thats just my opinion

  • Dream Theater PROCKS!

  • BOSS

  • I reckon they will open the set with this song!

  • I Think I'm In Love!!!!

  • mind blowing. i think my heart stopped for the entirety of this song. this album is just great as a whole...

  • BEST ALBUM EVER !

  • yup!.... im diggin it man!

  • 5:00 and on. So Progy!

  • Then it just got better and better

  • OMG, i had to go back and listen to 5:00 to 7:16 Over and over, so amazing

  • @wolfLonee I don't know... it's starting to sound a little cliche. "pause for half a beat after a string of n beats". The first and last thirds of this are where it really shines. We all know they can play technical. It doesn't get musical until 8:45.

  • @spectorz It's called a break and has been the basics of rock music since Led Zeppelin in 1969 if not earlier

  • I'm so fucking happy with this album. :)

  • First I was like Whoa! Then I was like Whoaaaaaaa!!!, then I was like whoa.

  • to be honest, unexpectedly good album, Wow

  • My favourite song on the album! :)

  • Ouuuuut AMAZING!

  • On my God that 5 minute mark... haha.

  • Amazing!

  • @Ultimatecamouflage damn!!! you stole my word

  • This is the most proggy song on the album so far. Gonna have to find out if the remaining three are like this.

  • @Nihongoking123 I think the most proggy song is Breaking All Illusions... Really remember "Yes" in some parts...
