poor margins. They often require adjustment to multiple surfaces before they will seat. They don't look as good as a top quality technician made crown. They are made from standard blocks of ceramic, rather than a hand made artistic process. Many cerec restorations have very poor retention, and rely mostly on the cement.
Ask around and see how many dentists have sold their cerec machines and gone back to technician made crowns.
Cheesle250gm. You dont know what u dont know you have NO CLUE of what u r talking about. With the knowledge of how the unit works, good preps, powdering and image techinques fantastic and excellent fit restorations can be fabricated.
...I stain and Glaze all my restorations and if I show u pictures and xrays u cannot tell the difference; it is even a better restoration because u have more control of it.
As a matter of fact now we have materials that are three times stronger than a porcelain in top of a conventional metal ceramic crown with makes it an excellent choice to restore teeth and provide more window to detect and retreat a failures thann a conventional restoration....
BTW those that return the units, they are just LAZYdentists...jajaja :)
I love cerec! As a dentist that cares about quality over profit I get to replace all of the lovely cerec restorations that are being done by another local dentist. The margins are wide open and there is incredible sensitivity. I love the business! Keep selling this crap to the unwary to keep me in business!! GO PATTERSON DENTAL! THE USED CAR SALESMEN OF DENTISTRY!
these are not the best restorations.Good things take time. If you're going to get a crown/inlay, get a better one. after all, there is no detail/realism to the tooth, it has difficulty scanning with accuracy so how will u or the Dentist really know f the margins are sealed interproximally (between).
Pay attion to your dental work ppl!! u are the one who pays in more ways than just money! good luck
with the latest software and Hardware it takes from 5 to 10 minutes

Maybe a little late but, which blocks do you use?
rdaef975 5 years ago
Hi Marihani, the crown will be milled out of a block of ceramic to produce the restoration....
adevigus 5 years ago
And this has exactly what to do with "ceramic" like you have in your tag?
