I love classical music, and yours is deeply moving, I adore it. I shall want to keep coming back for more so am Subscribing to your channel. I am genuinely bowled over by your music, such depth and passion. You have a beautifull soul my friend. I would consider it an honour if you would check me out sometime as I compose my own music just using a Yamaha keyboard and would love a professional opinion from someone such as yourself, be as critical as you like please. I must comment, because I like this piccolo concerto very much, it's a GREAT music, work!!! Congratuliation!!! I wonder, if I somehow play it, but I can't find the sheet music of this beauty. I'm a flute and piccolo player in an orchestra in Hungary.
Can you help me, where can I buy the sheet?
Thank you very much, and I wish you success and blessing!
@marol1231 Thanks. As for sheets, I get many requests for that, and it seems that the financial situation hits all over the world, and no company will publish it now.
very, very nice. makes me want to play my flute over and over but the sound on mine just doesn't compare to this at all. :( sad truth is that i'm not half as good as this. gosh, i wish i was though. :( :( :( 'course i'm 13. there's still time for me to improve.
@Wcburg1 some more things- orchestras basically rent music from composers when they want to play somthing that they didnt made a commition for. after the performance/s both score and parts are going back to the composer. you said that you play the oboe and guitar. any thoughts about English Horn?
@goingtobe oh of course- the english horn is one of the instruments, or if not the instrument, that i like most in the woodwind section. i actually sort of started oboe so that i could move on to play english horn. i never really got the money to buy an english horn though, but i plan on getting one this year. it is such a wonderful instrument. have you ever heard of the bass oboe (or heckelphone)?
yep, i heard it once in a concert and also here on youtube. his character is hollow to my ears, while the english horn is deep and rich. i prfefer the english horn much better.
Very colourful and interesting piece. I am glad that people are still writing things such as this!! This is GREAT! you seem to have a quite a variety of influences. did you attend school for music?
@DiegoSalas05 first of all, thanks! i do have a variety of influences from different music styles since i came from fusion music and i play the bass guitar (theres some video of them in my channel also).
my orchestral knowledge is from the composer Richard Farber who was my teacher for 4 years. while he also compose in his special way, he is an excelente teacher! very open minded and clear. it was a true bless to konw this person. he has a site if you want to check him out.
@Iplaypiccolo ha,ha, thanks! Lior is the best! i can tell him what you said, but i think he would really like to here that diractly from you. fill free to go to his website and send him a mail.
this music is not published in any company (yet), although it is registerd for the copyright.
people dont buy a full score music, an orchestra can rent it or make a commition from a composer for music.
what people do get (most of the time) is a solo piece for thier instrument or with piano reduction. however, there is a different piece of mine which i did with Lior which called "Question Mark".
@goingtobe what do you mean, people don't buy full scores of music- i buy them all the time, i have about 10. i saw you are interested in debussy, he is also my favorite composer. i have 4 works of his (prelude a l'apre midi d'aun faune, nocturnes, la mer, and images) all in full score. he writes so colorfully and beautifully and its great to actually see the music.
@Wcburg1 what i mean is that when the composer is alive and 70 years after his death (for this year its1940 and backwarod, nest year 1941 and so on), the composer still owns the copywrites. after that it becomes "public domain" and anyone can do what ever he wants with the music. you dont have to pay the composer for dooing somthing with his music or have to agree to his terms. when the compser is still alive, he has to make a living, so he wont do it for free.
@Iplaypiccolo you can find the "Question Mark" if you'll google in Internet Explorer (or any browser) advanced search- this exact wording or phrase, and write down 'yosef hamami'.
as for what you have said, to hear more stuff of mine will be possible only when ill have more recordings. both Lior and I wants to have a recording company and a publishing company so we this music will be available to other people. the more people will know, the more possible it will be.
thanks, i will tell him. do you also play the flute?

why did you name it "freakollo?"
Wcburg1 1 year ago
@Wcburg1 the name "Freakollo" is a combination of the words freak and piccolo. it just sounds appropriate.
