Fortunate to have so many world class vocalists in Scotland. Add the superb MacKenzie sisters, Julie Fowlis, Emily Smith, Corrina Hewitt, Karine Polwart etc etc. Alyth being my favourite.
Very true, they are all good singers, I just find Alyth's voice has a certain clarity, a simple matter of personal choice. Her album 'an Iomall' is well worth a listen for her treatment of traditional song.

Well, a very good voice but the best? difficult to say.. Karen Matheson ,Mairi Macinness, Catherine Macphee at the same level and higher :p
