He is truly amazing! And also very humble and down to earth. He offered to show me a few things when I'd fly my kite down at Kits point... Truly amazing!

That dude is awesome. I remember the first time I tried stunt kites and was doing so badly so this old man came up to me and showed me how to fly it. Later I found out that his name was Ray Bethell.

That's Ray Bethell. He flies 3 kites regularly. I think he's flown up to 39 kites (3 stacks of 13 each).

That man also can't hear! I don't remember his name, darnit... I fly, too, and have met him and spoken to him & his wife... haven't been to Berkely in a while, still have my little tile trophies from my wins... wonderful stuff!

His name is Ray Bethell and he is from British Columbia. He is in his 80's and is deaf. He also holds the world record for the most sport kites flown at one time, 33. 11 to each hand and 11 to his waist. He is a great friend.
