@Lonette And I 'm not talking about the Jamaica commercial. I mean about the music in the Jackie CNN memorial coverage that starts approxiamately 5:56. Again, thanks.
He's not away from his brother. He's just in a different part of the Kennedy family section of Arlington National Cemetery. Robert Kennedy is just a few yards to the left of his brother as you face JFK's grave
just curious that space the casket was laying on, Was that ground that they would later dig up or was it some sort of elevator that would later lower the casket into the ground?
mastshke, most of the presidents are related, as are their wives. It's a dynasty. Even Barack Obama is connected. George Bush Jnr's wife is descended from a President, and on it goes. They are also related to England's Royal Family.
Yes, when Jackie died so did the history of Camelot. As the song goes, "there's simply not a more congenial spot for happily-ever-aftering than here in Camelot."
Oh I forgot to add when her son was killed in the plane crash, he as cremated wtihin 24 hrs, and a US Military ship was used to scatter his cremains, and no he was never in the US Military. For everyday people, the normal cremation process, with paperwork and all may take a few days.
Someone has a bad case of sour grapes...whats your problem? You would think you OWN the country and its costing YOU money to have had Jackie and her son buried the way they were. Get over it!
I cant believe theres nothing on youtube dedicate to her daughter Caroline kennedy, she deserves some recognition after everything shes been through. Losing her father, her mother, her brother, her sister-in-law, her uncle. Did she do something wrong in her previous life...
I went to Washington this summer and I visited the Kennedys' gravesite and it was beautiful. I felt some pain after seeing JFK's tomb, because I've read some books about his life and most of it about his assassination.
If you go to Washington someday, visit Arlington Cemetery, it's worth it and it's free.

You know, normally in a National Cemetery, if a widow of a veteran has remarried she loses her right to be buried with the former veteran. But of Course when you are a Kennedy, you don't have to follow rules, or if you are a former First Lady. But if you or I lose a spouse...well, you know. Arlington is different than most National Cemeteries anyway. The President can order anyone he deems, to be buried there.

I am not an idiot, I help families bury loved ones everyday, and have had several who wanted their mom buried with dad at the VA Cemetery, but if they had remarried , that was out the window, just being a first lady does not give you the right to be buried at Arlington, only if the President signs off on it. And yes, it costs all tax payers to maintain all National Cemeteries.
@Wvrsandiego Your dumb ok SHE WAS THE FIRST LADY FROM 1961-1963 and it should have been from 1961-1968 but someone took care of that what this world would have been like if she was first lady for eight years
I was almost five when she died and I was too young to grasp the fact that her funeral was in NYC, near my home in northern NJ. That was a sad time for America, especially in the Tri-state area, where I once lived. :(
What is the piece playing from 5:56 to 8:26? Sounds like Aaron Copland. Thank you.

I want to know why was Robert Kennedy buried
away from his family and from his brother in
Arlington
Whitren32 2 years ago
because Robert Kennedy had a family of his kids and wife. JFK's gravesite was meant to have JFK, his two dead children, and Jackie.
