Awesome game with awesome style and music. I couldn't make it on "ballistic" difficulty back in the day. Gotta check it out now!

reason this seems the fastest is because it's in first person. powerdrome is the fastest, f-zero gx is the fastest with glitches. this game looks faster than wipeout though.

The that was soooo not sped up, I still play that at the local arcade, and some people are fast enough to react without hitting shit, I fly good at mach 1, but my reaction time goes down the hole after mach 3.

Your biggest mistake is that you keep your balance plate too high which reduces speed capability.

@305Nat not at all I had this game and yes its imposible to actually dodge quicly because the game doesn't respond that quick instead I sadly memorize the track in order to have fun at high speed I'll rather play f-zero or xtreme-g wich are much better for my taste traks are not so hard to memorize but who would enjoy that at a speed game?

@qwertyxf This was not made in large quantities. So many people, even at the time of it's release, had never heard of it. I think it didn't even get a review in PC-Zone. I downloaded this a long time ago and am lucky enough to still have the CD.

Ballistics is difficult but it's just a case of playing till you know whats coming. It's so much more speedy than the Extreme G's, and just a totally hardcore game.

Game is my absolut favorit but your fuckin slow .... :D normal speed on this track ist 1000+ :D the most important rule, never stop Turbo :D

*cough* F-zero GX *cough* Look up some world records of F-zero GX... for example the cosmo terminal one... I cant really decide which is TRULY faster (because of quality but nobody can help that) but still it is worth comparing to. :)

@acephoenix1 Ballistics is faster - qwertyxf is showing it on the easiest difficulty, which is limited in speed. High difficulty settings take the limit off but make it harder to stay on the track (you cant stay on the inside of corners).

If you want to see how fast it can really go, check my vid on this track, or one of smilingmatthias 's vids. My own max speed was about 3200 mph (not recorded though), and it's certainly possible to go even faster, provided you know how to avoid the obstacles.

buddy, is the video sped up? i can see the speed on the dash, it says ur goin way too slow but itseems like ur flyin too fast. + are you even on ballistic mode, your stuck on the corner on a anti-G bank.

oh ok prolly just bad video quality making it seem sped up. Its B-mode is annoyin at first but once u get use to it its a whole new level of adrenaline! it forces you to turn more, instead of just dodging obstacles. Basically, takes more skills ^.^ U can do it! make a flawless one in B-mode!
