there are a few things that i find weird about this fight. 1. lazy eye (shudders) 2. eyes roll into the back of her head constantly. 3. she seems to enjoy biting you... and, 4. the makers of this must have had a sic sense of humor...i was trying to swim and smacked into her chest. what the heck???!?!?!? thats just not right!!

@Pheonix1328 The reason why Ursula has her necklace is because the events of the movie didn't happen yet in KH1 Ursula didn't steal Ariel's voice, hence her necklace wasn't broken (And no, they don't explain why she's back in KH2).

In KH2, however, they do an abridged version of the movie so her necklace is missing when she turns giant in that game.

this is possibly the hardest story boss i have faced in this game... 1 thundershock takes away 1/2 - 3/4 of your hp! i just swim far away where the thunder can't get you and get donald/goofy/ariel to weaken her and when shes near death i get near her and finish her off..

how is everyone saying this is a hard boss.........i beat it on my third time. Just don't use the mermaid kick and jump up an go behind her to attack. Also, buy a bunch of ethers from Traverse Town to heal yourself...........you'll have to heal your self about 10 times in the battle..........but at least you will beat her. Ethers are expensive, but just as you need to pay a ton to go to college......u need to paay a ton to beat this biotch.

@lindamichelle1 It's been forever since I played kh 1, but ursula was definitely a bitch to beat. Good trick is to try and get behind her and and attack her as much as you can before she moves and you're back out again, that way she can't hurt you, and definitely heal, heal, and heal some more because she can kill you pretty easily. Just keep with it, I remember being stuck on her for the longest and would just walk away and come back to it latter when things got frustrating.

Good thing I came across this to go to another vid xD The second Riku fight when Ansem's in him right? I say keep using Aeroga (it'll HELP), make sure you've got Guard, Dodge Roll & Counterattack abilities on, & always block his attacks, then dodge roll away & heal yourself if you need to. When he starts going all super fast, just fly over him & stay out of his way.

But make use of the save point before the fight if you feel you're not ready & level up some more [:

I'll put my strategy here since I thought the battle was pretty easy & I won on my first try (level 35, doesn't matter which keyblade). I acted as bait & had her focused on me the whole time. I kept my distance & KEPT MOVING to dodge her thunder attacks while Goofy & Ariel beat her up from behind. Used plenty of Mega-Ethers & Mega-Elixirs, & oddly she didn't KO when her meter went down to 0 & it stayed like that for 1 minute. So I had Sora hit her face just once & she KO'd. Hope this helped!

Do you remember how the dolphin got you to the sunken ship? Return here from the sunken ship area, make sure you've got the Mermaid Kick shared ability on, & swim straight across the current to a black cave called ???. That's where you'll fight Big Ursula.
