@sannan15 I was hoping someone was going to say that...This is filmed in the UK. All WRXs and STi's (except the 22b) are 2.0, even today. The 2.5 is only the US version. I was at work when I made that comment and kind of rushed it. You can get a much quicker launch from the STi purely from aftermarket parts since it's turbocharged than the Lamborghini. That's what I was getting at.

This Gallardo is the Lowest edition Gallardo lambo makes and they put it up against the subaru Wrx STi Wr1 which is one of the strongest if not the strongest version you could buy in 2004 and the gallardo still beats it .
STi's are like toys they offer no challenge to a supercar. just look at the difference .the STi is turbocharged and its engine is pushed to its limits. the lambos are not turboed and still are almost double the hp of an sti .. face it the sti is nothing compared to the lambo

yeah but there's where you mess up. Yeah you could easily get 600 horsepower for a good 10k or so, but it's the quality of the car, and the pedigree that come into play. Also the craftsmanship, and brandname as well. You could easily draw out 1000 horspower out of a V10, but it's essentially putting it on the road in a livable manner that makes it that expensive.
Actually, with that much track the lambo would have no issue at all passing a rally spec Subaru. Modern rally cars generally have a top speed of less than 150, and the lambo would easily go faster than that over the course of two miles. That said, I would definitely choose a spec WRX over a lambo for racing of almost any sort.

There are Subarus that are hand made as well. You should do your research instead of saying 'pretty' the Lamborghini is. Don't get me wrong, it's an excellent car but the Subaru has it's own prestige & respect that comes with it. I'd rather have the cheaper Subaru because it's built for me to tinker with it instead of a Lamborghini, where a specialist has to come in & tell you how to do things. Btw, a Subaru is FAR more fun to drive. You should take a shot at it.

my friend has 1...and he says just to keep the car going he spends shit load of money every year...coz if you are getting that much power from a 2.0 engine u have to take care of too much stuff...engine parts gets deformed so fast....but with a 5.0 v10 u wont have to take care of anything else than standart check ups...

Haha wtf, the lambo is much more money to buy and to maintain. While the Subaru has a horizontally mounted turbo 4 cylinder that is very reliable and it has 4 doors, yes 4 doors which means more room and even a pretty big trunk. The Subaru is also AWD. If the amount of money that lambo is was put into the subaru and it was tuned for drag racing the subaru would beat it. Even if they were the same horsepower the subaru would beat it. I've seen STi's RAPE Lambos with no competition.

lol by that i mean if the same amount of money that the lambo costs itself lets say hmm $300,000 was used to buy a lambo and a subaru and you were to upgrade both the subaru would rape the lambo regardless because the lambo is sooo much more and there would be hmm $270,000 to $260,000 to put into the subaru and barely any money to put into the lambo. IF the cars were comparable by specs or even by money the subaru would always win.

yeah but there's where you mess up. Yeah you could easily get 600 horsepower for a good 10k or so, but it's the quality of the car, and the pedigree that come into play. Also the craftsmanship, and brandname as well. You could easily draw out 1000 horspower out of a V10, but it's essentially putting it on the road in a livable manner that makes it that expensive.

Actually, with that much track the lambo would have no issue at all passing a rally spec Subaru. Modern rally cars generally have a top speed of less than 150, and the lambo would easily go faster than that over the course of two miles. That said, I would definitely choose a spec WRX over a lambo for racing of almost any sort.

I don't know much about cars really but that seems weird. they have waaaay faster acceleration though than any cars because that's exactly what they need for the short straightaways. It makes sense not to have a very big high speed but that seems a little too small for WRC.

wrc cars are all restricted to 300 bhp, but no restricted to torque, thts how theyy get of the line so fast,
Although if you took the turbo restricter out, it could easily have 450 bhp., n alot more torque.
