  • Nice way of swirling your guitar, mate! But, what happened the rest of the guitar's neck and head?

  • This reminds me of marbling nails! :D (It had to be a woman watching this video)

  • Looks great. Paint is enamel, so is the primer just a white enamel?

  • that looks fairly easy actually, so a few questions, what are you using to put the paint in, and what is that just a big tub of water?

  • How much borax do i need?

  • How wet does the water need to be?

  • U CAN PULL IT UP FAST. THE WATER WILL FLUSH AWAY....

  • that's clever

  • MrDean, hope I'm not asking too many questions(thanks for responding to the others) but I was wondering if you've ever placed the guitar in the water first, then applied the paint to the surface, then pull the guitar up through it??? I wonder how that would work? I'm still waiting for my paints to arrive so I can't test this idea myself yet.

  • THIS IS COOOOLL!!!!!

  • i love it ! wish i could do it

  • are u just putting the paint in regular water?

  • great work!

  • MrDean, is it absolutely necessary to remove all the original paint? What if I just sanded it down well enough for the primer to adhere, then swirl? Would that work? By the way, thanks for your earlier reply, greatly appreciated, Michael. p.s. do you lightly sand the new swirl bofore putting on the top coat?

  • @mpaz48mo you right dont have to sand all the way down just enough to take the lacquer of the guitar (so it dosent shine anymore) and the primer will take to it.

  • Is it enamel or acrylic paint?

  • @ewashbrook05 enamel

  • @MrDean2005 Thanks! :D

  • Great Swirl! What brand of paints did you use?

  • @funnyguy1321 Thanks for your comment,Humbrol paint!

  • looks cool, next time you dip try putting a small screw in the strap button hole on the bottom of the guitar. that way when you dip it you can rest the guitar on the screw at the bottom of your tank and not have to worry about the guitar moving back and forth. this also helps you if you are by yourself so you can use your other hand to wipe the paint away from the top. ive done all of mine this way and it really helps you keep the guitar stable and not bouncing off the sides. borax method ?

  • @a300mayer Thanks for your comment much appreciated cheers!!
