@LiveLoudCustoms Yeah I used a standard stainless steel drawer slide that I had to trim down to size, and a power window kit... I had to modify that as well... and for the neon light I used a hood pin from an alarm that when the drawer goes up the light automatically turns on and off when it goes down

I guess that I'm lucky to live hear in PA. Open carry and concealed carry are both legal. If I'm carrying my handgun concealed (which is pretty rare), all I have to do is uncover it before I get in the car.

It would be much better to have the weapon between the seats or near the right leg. If your car jacked the robber knows you must reach for your billfold so stealth and speed is essential here. As you reach for that billfold quickly grasp the weapon with your right hand to come under the left arm and fire 3 or 4 times into your threat. Do not hesitate at all, this maneuver can be self trained to deploy in seconds. No fancy pop up gun box required.
