The only part of same sex unions I would oppose is if gays somehow pushed for special treatment, rewards, provisions, or exemptions. If they want to get married then that's fine, but they should get no less or more than heterosexual married couples. It should all be equal.

In my case I dont go to church regularly anymore, but if i have to identify with a church then its with the Catholic church.
