  • I like you

(toootally unrelated but you're cute haha, this is coming from a female hahahaha)

  • Wow It's rare that I hear someone make such a rational argument. You sound and look very confident in your speech and can I just say that it was.

I know it's long after the debate and ordeal but it was still quite splendid to hear.

  • gay marriage is just as bad as marrying an animal or your own sibbling. Gays have the same fundamental rights as everybody else, but marriage isn't a fundamental right, but it is respected by the constitution.

  • Fags have no right to get married. THEIR FAGS. Im atheist so dont pull the bible shit on me.

  • @bigbob6556

You don't sound like an atheist. Go join the teabaggers where you belong.

  • @sigeram99 So because I hate fags i automatically cant be atheist? Fags are fags, no matter how we were put on earth we were not supposed to be with the same sex.

  • @bigbob6556

May I ask why you hate members of the LGBT?

  • @sigeram99 Their fags? Its gross? Its a fucking brain disorder.

  • @bigbob6556

Just watch this all the way through. You might actually learn something.

    /watch?v=LYMjXucTFaM

  • @bigbob6556

    (In order to question marks)

    1. Your pathetic

    2. How's it gross or different from what hetero's do? (men sticking it in women's pooper's)

    3. Most psychological, and physiological as well as majority of medical institutes agree that it's not a mental disorder.

  • @sigeram99 Lol, w/e. Be a fag lover. Their freaks.

  • @bigbob6556

Hater's gonna hate I guess. Even if it is illogical and irrational hate.

  • @sigeram99 Its illogical how? They have mental disorders.

  • @bigbob6556

To say I have a mental disorder is quite rude, and uncalled for. I dare you to go out in public and say this stuff. You'll be scorned quite harshly I predict. Well at least by decent human beings.

  • @sigeram99 I always say fags have mental disorders?

  • @sigeram99 Look dude, this guy's clearly a complete prat. Ignore him.

  • Compromise...., unreal if you follow that.

  • This woman did a good job responding.

  • Anyone accedently call their teacher mom or dad? (and no im no thumbs up whore, im not even expecting thumbs up, im expecting replies)

  • We can wear PAAAANTS. :D Heh, that made me giggle.

And I agree with you all the way. :) You are clearly very intelligent and a good debater, and I would highly suggest showing this to anyone who supports Prop 8.

  • and think of one kind of situation, a gay man donating his sperm to a lesbian couple so they can raise a child and the 3 of them having joint custody of the child, that's still adoption with 1 father and 2 moths. proving that adoption by gay parent's doesn't necessarily mean lacking a father/mother. and even if they did (like you said) they can still have other role models

  • you are awesome. Finally a rational person with a rational argument.

  • Nothing beats a good loving biological father and infinitely nothing beat a good loving biological mother. The ideal will always be the rule.

  • Very very intelligent! We need more people like you in our political system. Someone who uses logic and a level head. I can't give you enough praise girl!!!!

  • I wish I could show people this who are against homosexuals. Like that one guy who used to sit next to me in Health. ((Well he is only against gays not lesbians....he believes the death penalty on them :/))

  • @Avegadez yea fuccen fagz

  • I think pants are great too!!!

Most of nathow's argument I watched a few minutes ago was "LGBT was too forceful, so the fair decision is to not allow gay marriage". Seriously, would there be a Martin Luther King Jr.-like person this day and age representing LGBT?

  • okay about the child thingy.. umm.. i was raised by hetero parents and i turned out gay... it doesn't make any since we're not gona make our childern gay... well when i have children. i'm only 15.

  • i was raised by a single parent: my mom, she separated from my dad when i was 7 years old. i so dreamed that my mom and dad would be back again, and be a whole family again. as a young boy i always consider that to be the perfect society standard, and should be and that later was confirmed by the word of God. So yea, i do believe marriage should only be between a man an woman.

  • You're far more beautiful with your hair back rather than down. You're hot and intelligent!

  • fuckin homos go die!!!!

  • i agree homos must die

  • @WhitepwrItalian1 fuckin homophobes stfu. How can you wish anyone to die? You are a freaking murderer you asshole. Get some help.

  • THANK YOU for making this video

  • THANKYOU!

  • yes thank you '' all you need is love'' ( a beettle's song)

  • Fuck you fernydrummer! Ur a no good fucking prejudice piece of shit! there r more fucked up straight parents tht abuse their children than gays!

  • I agree with this video! Marriage can be shared between a man and a man, a woman and a woman, and man and woman! Catholics and Christians r prejudice ppl! i kno, i was Catholic! Read Leviticus in the bible! not only does it say tht gay marriage is wrong, it LITERALLY says gays r as good as dead! how FUCKED UP CAN CATHOLICS/CHRISTIANS BE! I support gay marriage all the way!

  • @glidingfish

Erm Lev also says that shrimp and mixing fabric are abominations. No sane person takes those literaly.

Also every translation of homosexual in the bible really means prostitute, rapist, or pagan priest who uses sodomy as a ritual.

So now the Bible is out, the Xians only have their fear and prejudice to hide behind.

  • no! growing with 2 sme sex parents is not healthy at all, im sorry. ask you mom and that what's marriage. ask yourself where'd you come from.

  • thats your opinion and yoru entitled to it no matter how wrong or stupid it is

  • @idaman12345 I actually found her argument to be very intelligent and well thought out, and she had a lot to back it up with. I totally agree with her! :D

  • As a young gay male I wish more people were like you. Thank you for posting this. =)

  • Emit: I do agree, structure and stability are the bigger foundational needs a child must have for healthy development. That's on a very basic level. However, it's only one important piece of the puzzle.

  • Civil Unions for gays addresses every issue this video presents. She presents nothing which suggests a Civil Union would deprive any of the attributes a gay "family" could possibly provide. Although Emi was raised by her mom she isn't aware of the connection between her militant feminism and the lack a good father's presence in her home growing up. She's a wounded adult child who expresses that hurt/pain though her activism. I believe she's a perfect example of what can happen w/out dad.

  • Only if it's civil unions for both gay AND straight couples. No double standards. Civil union and marriage are legally NOT THE SAME at this point in time. This video was made in response to a specific argument presented by natedavidr, don't presume to know my life story. Particularly since you're insulting my father -- I don't take kindly to anyone insulting ANY member of my immediate family. You're actually wrong, I'm a not an example of what can happen without dad. I'm the opposite.

  • In California civil unions share every right a marriage couple does. To suggest that straight couples sharing the definition of civil union would somehow benefit gay families is non-sensical. I don't presume to know your life story, just one effect of being raised without dad. You undermine the gender role of being raised without dad. What is it that a father does that a mother can't do? The very questions illustrates my point. You're gender neutral standard for parenting strains credulity.

  • To adopt your gender neutral argument one should do away with gender specific restrooms, Women should lead Boy Scouts, Men should lead Girl Scouts, there should be no such thing as women's rights, just rights. Your role model profile completely discounts the specific attributes gender can and does play in rearing children. Your view is as radical as it is militant/feminist. How am I insulting your father?

  • I was raised by two people, you've completely discredited the contributions made to my life by my other parent. And you seem to think that because I have a different opinion that means I must be the product of missing a father's influence? And yes, I do believe that the only rights we need are universal rights. Go post up your own video about all the specific stuff one gender of parent does that the other can't, and I'll be happy to take a look. You haven't provided any examples yet, though.

  • The unique value of fathers has been explained by Dr. Kyle Pruett of Yale Medical School in his book Fatherneed: Why Father Care Is as Essential as Mother Care for Your Child. Pruett says dads are critically important simply because "fathers do not mother." Psychology Today explained in 1996 that "fatherhood turns out to be a complex and unique phenomenon with huge consequences for the emotional and intellectual growth of children.

  • (cont.) A father, as a male parent, makes unique contributions to the task of parenting that a mother cannot emulate, and vice versa.

  • According to educational psychologist Carol Gilligan, mothers tend to stress sympathy, grace and care to their children, while fathers accent justice, fairness and duty. Moms give a child a sense of hopefulness; dads provide a sense of right and wrong and its consequences. Other researchers have determined that boys are not born with an understanding of "maleness." They have to learn it, ideally from their fathers.

  • @tonestar100 - My Dad is living proof of understanding "maleness", on my part, particularly because my Mom would say of my Dad."that's what a man should do"...lol

  • I have an 18 yr old son. I was extremely active in his day-to-day care during my college years, where I minored in early childhood development. I'm not aware of any widely accepted social model which endorses a wholesale erasure of gender roles in rearing children. None. The attributes he's learned from his mother and I have always and continue to pay compliment to the unique differences between men and women and all for the better. He's far better adjusted than his mother or me. Praise God.

  • @tonestar100 - Maybe you could help better in understanding gender roles and it's effectiveness. I've have realized that those who advocate for the cause of Homo's and other abnormal behavior must from it's root redefine/dismiss everything they are trying to copy (i.e. Sexuality, Gender Identity, Parenting, Family, Social Systems, Masculine and Feminine behaviors as a result of your anatomy, etc...)

  • @tonestar100 - But I do not blame them. It seems to be the result of today's universities passing off that type of "education" (i.e. modern sociology)

  • I know firsthand, the endorsement of your Dad by your Mother in itself is HUGE! It provides a sense of order, comfort, protection and hierarchy, and provides with clarity the role of a mother and a father (and you) in a healthy family structure. I just believe it's the preferred model, even if not possible. Kudos to single parents everywhere; I acknowledge their incalculable efforts to best raise their children.

  • @tonestar100 Hierarchy? Are families these days still supposed to be under the ultimate control of the father?

  • LGBT is all about breaking the gender ideology society has brought.

  • This whole "individual role" argument sounds like deconstructionism. Society has standards for Male and Female. It isn't psychologically ok to let boys be girls and vice versa. I could imagine telling my Dad to let me wear girl panties and put make up because I wanted to.

Question: Do you accept the standards society has put for Male and Female?

  • Actually, for some boys, it is psychologically okay to live as girls, and vice versa. In fact, it can be psychologically necessary for those individuals, who suffer horribly if they can't fulfill that psychological need. If you wanted to do something, and that something didn't involve causing harm to another, should you not have freedom of expression?

I accept standards that can be applied equally to all. Do unto others, for example. Happiness, freedom, equality, liberty and justice for all.

  • @Emiteal - Tell me is necrophilia and coprophilia normal or abnormal?

In his book When Wish Replaces Thought, by Steven Goldberg, he uses this example of necrophilia and coprophilia.

[quote] "The example[...]demonstrates the inadequacy of some of the criteria often invoked in attempts to demonstrate the normality of a behavior popularly considered abnormal: that the behavior is found cross-culturally, that it is negatively sanctioned (and this could account for associated pathological..."

    "

  • You're just underlining the point I was making about trying to use the word "normal" in this whole discussion.

  • @Emiteal - Normal may not mean squat to you but it does to me.

  • @Emiteal - cont'd - "behavior), and that those who exhibit the behavior often see it as normal. All of these things are true of necrophilia and coprophilia." [end quote]

  • I have a Mom and Dad. I grew up watching Male and Female relationships. My Dad made sure I had male friends because my family is predominantly female. He didn't let me play with barbies or let my sisters try to dress me up as a girl. The things my Dad taught me and showed me helped with me with my mindset. My Mom could of been the same way too but it feels better that another man is there with you and relate. Both were supportive.

  • I was raised by straight parents and I'm gay. How about that?

  • @stefanheikel - That makes it "normal"? I'm not sure what your trying to prove with that statement.

  • There's no such thing as normal, not if you look close enough. Normal is just a generalized glossing over of the many unique variations that make up life. You can define scientific norms based on percentages, but trying to apply something like that to the complexities of human interaction and identity?

  • @Emiteal - If that's the case then, logically, one has to conclude there is no such thing as abnormality which I bet you yourself cannot swallow.

"ou can define scientific norms based on percentages, but trying to apply something like that to the complexities of human interaction and identity?"

This is exactly what the Homo community is peddling, that is, muddling empirical explanations in an attempt to camouflage the subjective roots of their arguments. Sexuality should be rooted in reason.

  • I am not a community, I am a person with my own point of view and perspective. I don't have any problem with saying that if there is no normal, there is no abnormal. And sexuality rooted in reason? Sorry, I think that's clearly replacing reality with a wish. But I'm a secularist, so I see the clear benefits of living based on reason and rationality. I just know that this world doesn't generally function that way. (See: religion.)

  • @Emiteal - I am no different from you in explaining my own thoughts. I seriously suspect a problem if someone talking to me has no sense of normal or abnormal. You use reason and rationality to endorse the most ridiculous things (i.e.gender neutral argument).

One big difference between my Dad and Mom is that my Dad had the final word.

  • I bet your dad beat your mom too huh?

  • @stefanheikel - I don't know. My Dad and Mom are still together. What does that have to do with anything?

  • Assuming your parents raised you properly, the problem could be with your choicesssss.

  • Wow, following me around a lot?

For someone who claims to be 49 you seem to have too much free time.

I've known I was gay since 11, and there were signs when I was 6. I choose to be honest with myself and open about who I am. As a result, I am now in a relationship with an amazing man, and you and your fellow Christian sheep will stop it.

  • stefanheikel: Excuse me? I have no idea what the hell you're talking about. I haven't been to this site in over a month and even back then I sure as hell wasn't talking to you. Are you paranoid? Whatever you're talking about or thinking I can say with certainty, I sure as fuck am not following you.

  • That's because ur sick.

  • listen bitch if you want gay parents go ahead and have them ill stick with str8 parents ok?

i dont want to grow up with gay parents i dont care if there lesbian or gay i dont want either of that crap if i was kid i wouldn't have wanted for me so why would I want that for someone else?

  • I want the parents that I have, and I want everyone to be able to have their own parents, whether those parents are moms, dads, or both. Don't think that allowing someone else to have two moms means that you have to have two moms -- everyone's life and family should be their own. You don't have the right to want anything for anyone else except life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Let others live in their own peace and happiness, as you may live in yours.

  • @Emiteal - Your speaking of mere labels devoid of any implication. Your clearly replacing reality with wish.

  • very intelligent argument good job.

  • Bravo, well said and well thought out. You make excellent points and make specific references to the other side rather than just spewing rhetoric, which is what the first video (Nate) was, no facts, just opinion. I think your response was fantastic and intelligent.

  • I agree with you 100%. I´m Icelandic, currently living in Denmark and gay marriges are legal her in Denmark and in Iceland and most countries in Europe. I think Americans are so far behind and so close minded that it makes me very sad.

You seem like a wonderful intelligent person.

And to all that cant say their opinion with out being rude must be those close minded americans.

  • Excelent video!!

    5 stars, easy :D

  • This is a great video, especially the points you made about role models and such.

My dad grew up in the 50s, and the first woman he knew who worked was his mother. He was unfamiliar with the concept of "housewife." His parents' gender roles were switched at a time when that was uncommon, but it never had a negative impact on him.

  • Why cant the homos really tell the truth!

YOU WANT MARRIAGE SO YOU CAN HAVE TAX BREAKS!!

Addmit that and we will consider it!

you can get marred by druid priest or a shaman!

why do need to recognized by the state! again admit you want tax cuts!

By the way, i am straight and tell males do not get married.

  • a child needs a man and a woman as parents that is the ideal, not a man who looks and acts like a woman or some bulldyke who wishes she had a dick

  • shut up dyke!!

  • I really respect what the guy below me says... he obviously studied at harvard

  • Love how you remained calm throughout the entire video and really got your point across. Hope it gets some "Yes on Prop 8" people rethinking their reasoning.

  • this makes me sad that kids are being taught hate. His parents should be shipped out of this country.

  • damn it women! I LOVE YOU.

you said this respectfully and calmly.

and i hope that guy listen to every minute of this,

    because i know i did.

    <3

  • also, keeping gays and lesbians from getting married would in no way keeps them from having children and starting families, his argument was a complete strawman. also many people who get married don't have children, his argument is completely irrelevant.

  • loving homes with immoral values.

  • you must be an awesome debater! I like your logic and your responses...truly intelligent!

  • gender roles are not terrible. many single mother/father households raise troubled children like it or not. and the facts are that there are things that one gender does better than others.

  • actually, some kids come out better from single homes than they would have with both parents. What happens when the kid's parent is a drunk. What's gonna happen, the kid may grow up drinking. So what can the parent do, raise the child alone. There a bunch of kids that came out wonderful from single homes. They just aren't as famous as the kids who get into trouble and say "i never had a mom/dad to guide me." you don't see kids who say "i did great with 1 parent" because it's boring in news.

  • ok we're not talking about ineligible parents who are screw ups here. i'm talking about a loving mother and father. plus i'd rather have one parent whos a drunk and one normal one than just one parent who is a drunk.

  • Loving mother and father or just one loving mother or one loving father or two mothers and two fathers doesn't matter. the child has a chance of growing up fine.

and i'm saying the NORMAL parent take the child. That would be wonderful, leave the kid with the drunk. >_> (yes i am aware this had occured MANY times before)

  • k now im just confused lol.

  • Great video: Your Very well spoken and elloquent

  • penis envy... PENIS ENVY

  • I love this. thank you for posting :)

  • go back and preach at the westboro baptist church.whats the difference between a gay and a straight lifestyle besied men and woman???like youve never seen a woman take it up the ass.

  • anybody can give out aids .did yoy know that??did ya?didnt ya learn anything in health class??isnt it obvious you failed health class??didnt ya?

  • have you looked in the mirror? a man with no eyes no ears no sympathy and no logic is reflected in it.he was taught to learn the wrong things from his parents

  • straight people can get aids.gay people can get aids ,kids can get aids.whites get aids.blacks get aids.you can get aids. if a straight man has sex with a woman he can still get aids if she has it!and like you havent shoved your dick up your wifes ass

  • im not gay .i have come to the conclusion you are closed minded and have no life .i only talk to people with life

  • by the way .i am one person therefor i am not the entire gay community.every single person you will ever meet is exactly different from the other.

  • im childish because im 14! im not gay.but im not so uptight like you.laugh a little will ya?

  • im perfectly healthy but did you hear about the dyslexic, agnostic insomniac who stays up all night wondering if there really is a Dog?

  • seee my avatar?hes watching you. hey sorry if ive offended you.i was just looking for arguments against my ideas.you have really good ones.btw.why would you hate somebody for being gay?you could hate them formuch more personal reasons

  • its the internet so i can spell what ever the hells i want to spell.HOMOPHOBE HOMOPHOBE.blow it out your ass.peace the fuck out

  • child, you have so much hate in your comments.you can hate a group of people bit your idea will never be accepted by inteligent people

  • you have not asked any !!!thats the problem with you christians.find ONE gay unhappy with his life and call it evidence as a filthly life styles and ignore the ones who are happy

  • have you seen the video above without puting it on mute?????plenty of kids have gay parents.whats best for children is loving parents not a just legal parents ,you filthy low form of human being.

  • it affects everybody the same way.you failed biology class didnt you?have you looked up valid info about aids?like webmddotcom!it is fuckin inevitable for everybody.you are nt invincible

  • straight people get it too and asome also engage in"aids inviting stuff.you homophobe

  • nobody fuckin asks for AIDS

  • ppl don't know how mean little kids can be . they would make fun of some1 w/ gay parents. that's y they shouldn't adopt.(think about the kids) (but don't kill urself over it.)

  • people have said the same things about inter-racial marriage. but i dont recall anyone making fun of their parents for being mixed race.

i completely agree that children can be vicious and mean, but that does not mean that we have to shelter children from all the harms of the world.

this would he like saying that a couple where one of the parents went to jail should not have the right to adopt or have children because the child could be made fun of.

  • you stated your position very well. and you put him in his place :)

  • you totally schooled natedavidr! great job!

  • totally logical, totally true, totally convincing

  • word.

  • thank you so much for articulating logic in such a way that (hopefully) even the most ignorant biggots will be able to understand that its not about gender, but about love and support of the child, nothing else should matter

  • The health of the adopting parents must be good. The primary reason for this is that agencies consider that adopted children need an opportunity to be able to grow to maturity with both of their parents around, since the premature loss of a parent will be traumatic for any child. HIV / AIDS infection would be considered a high risk to longevity of both parents resulting in the likely denial of adoption.

  • True, according to CDC findings close to half a million cases of aids in this particular study were attributable to homosexual relations and lifestyles. But, also close to half a million cases of aids were attributable to heterosexual relations and lifestyles as well. To say that aids is primarily restricted to homosexual relationships is erroneous and distorts the truth about aids and that is that it does not discriminate.

  • Children can be born into a heterosexual family with undetected HIV/AIDS far more frequently than they can be adopted by homosexuals with or without HIV/AIDS for obvious reasons. Aside from that, this was not the point of the video. Besides, if gay marriage was legal in CA, and allowing adoption, there are many tests, some of which are medical tests that must be passed before a child can be awarded and that is still true for heterosexual couples as well.

  • Now youre going to say that that does not guarantee homosexuals will remain HIV/AIDS free however, the flip side of the coin is also true for the heterosexuals. Secondly, children that are born with HIV/AIDS are primarily born into either heterosexual families (again, for obvious reasons), or single heterosexual mothers. So, why are you not speaking out against heterosexuals having HIV/AIDS infected children?

  • The point is you myopic idiot is that AIDS does not discriminate! Your oversimplified standardized image does nothing help the situation. All the stereotype you propose does is give a false sense of security as in... "Im not gay so Im safe"... Jeez man, get an education and get current.

  • Here is an example of providing a source to back a claim:

    W w w (dot) avert (dot).org / aidseducation (dot) h t m

Given your assumptions, you may want to read up on this. You may be in a high risk category.

  • Where is your source of info? You don't get it do you? This whole debate thing.

  • I refuted your outdated bullshit. Time for you to make your stand or capitulate. Oh, I forgot, in the comfortable mock reality of your one dimensional, digital gaming world, there is now such thing as surrender. To bad then, your just going to have to stay here and take each blow as it comes to your "adolescent hiding in a mans body" ego.

  • Its the manner in which you attempt to bring your position across is what is absurd. You make a stand without any evidence to back your claim.

    Utterlyherolike... utterly fail

  • Cornered???? Hahahahaha! Heheheheheh! You really don't see yourself as you are do you!

  • This video has nothing to do with your particular prejudicial proposition. This video is about the legitimacy of same gender marriage and the phobia brought forth by people opposed. Sorry you missed that point but if you could get your face out of your one dimensional, false world of digital game land reality that does nothing but strokes your ego into the stratosphere, you might actually understand the topic of this video.

  • Secondly, I figure by your prejudice, I know all and will make assumptions for all attitude, you think I am some religious homosexual. Obviously, had you bothered pulling your game infected mind away from your fantasy war game world and did any research, you would know that I am an atheist and a heterosexual.

  • The fallible part of your argument that gay lifestyle is at the greatest risk for AIDS is long outdated.

Over time, experience taught that risk is not based on who you are, but rather on what you do. The idea of risk behaviors is that HIV/AIDS does not discriminate. Anyone who engages in a behavior that exposes him or her to HIV is at risk for infection. This includes: (cont)

  • Anyone of any age who engages in unprotected oral, vaginal, or anal intercourse with anyone other than an uninfected, MUTUALLY MONOGAMOUS partner

Anyone whose partner engages in unprotected intercourse with others

Drug users who share needles and other drug works

Anyone who receives an injection with a potentially contaminated needle or syringe

The sexual partner(s) of an injection drug user (con't)

  • Recipients of transfusions or treatment with blood or blood products in regions where reliable screening of the blood supply does not occur

Anyone who uses potentially contaminated tattoo needles or other skin-piercing instruments

Any workers or clients at health care facilities who come into contact with blood, blood products, unclean needles, or surgical instruments

A fetus or nursing child of a mother who is infected with HIV.

Epic fail on your part sport.

  • Oh, and by the way sport, the word is spelled DEITY not diety. The least you could do is learn to spell a simple word if you intend to repeat it.

  • Take another look at your response to my question. You never answered what I had asked; rather you decided to show youre lagging intellect with insulting rhetoric. What you did reply with simply makes no sense without an explanation from your position on the matter which you still have not provided therefore, how can I answer a question to which is void of any clear position on your part?

  • Furthermore, you made the unrelated statement: You believe in AIDS, the rest of us will believe in a diety. without further explanation. Is it an accusation based on your own prejudicial outlook or do you have any substance to support your adolescent statement? I gave you a simple answer to a simple yet ignorant point. You want more than that you need to understand how to support your proposition first.

  • Move on. We have better things to do than waste time with intellectually vacuous individuals.

  • I suspect you were standing in front of a mirror when you made that comment.

  • I certainly am not evading a thing. But as long as you are unable to debate in a congenial, mature manner, there is no point to continue.

  • Ahh yes... There it is, the ad hominid attack. You can't come up with a debatable reply so you just digress to the old creationist / religious standby. The only thing that comes to mind at six feet under is worm food. Now Sir, I suggest you leave this debate until you understand what a debate is and what it requires for, you seem to lack that particular prerequisite intellect. There will be no further debate with you Sir. You simply are not worthy and lack the skills to continue. Good day Sir.

  • Aids is real, belief is not required here as there is refutable proof. On the other hand, your belief in a deity can be real, but the deity cannot be proven to exist. So, just what is your point?.

  • Am I the only one that found it odd that Nate had to shut off ratings and further comments on his insulting video? I guess the twerp couldn't take the heat.

I wonder what his thoughts are on the hundreds of thousands of single mothers by choice out there. Why is he not on that soapbox? More parents and role models a child has, the better. Not to say there is a lack of such in a single parent family. It just never seems to hit the radar screen like same sex parents. Love you Emiteal!

  • you kicked Nates ass

  • We can wear pants!!!

  • marriage is a religious institution, attempting to change the definition of marriage to include homosexual couples invites persecution of those religions who will not marry homosexual couples, this is an attack on religion

prop 8 is completely in order with the letter and the spirit of the constitution

  • "this is an attack on religion"

And so it should be! What makes you think that delusional belief in invisible deities gives religion any moral or sound ground on which to stand and voice opinion?

  • single parents are not an ideal situation, law shouldn't be based on exceptions, that is like saying that its ok to drive drunk because you are only "slightly drunk"

not actually, "S&G" was destroyed because they were morally bankrupt, it is because of their story that the word "sodomy" gets its meaning

  • "not actually, "S&G" was destroyed because they were morally bankrupt, it is because of their story that the word "sodomy" gets its meaning"

Get your delusional noggin out of the old testament of fables and look at reality. Don't sight fairytails from a book of myths and hearsay.

  • This is an amazing response. Thank you so much for voicing your reaction to an archaic argument.

  • if you are having trouble believing in God, then what you need to do is to say "Dear God, I am really having trouble believing in you, help me"

just as courts can use fingerprints as evidence, Gods beautiful fingerprints are everywhere

gays can have whatever beliefs they want about marriage, but they cannot force their views on others the way they want to

  • You just realized your argument fell apart, didn't you? Let me know when the miraculous writing dog appears on Letterman, I want to see that.

  • excellent video on the subject and wellspoken

it's only a shame that still so many subscribe to sexism and homophobia

  • Unfortunately for your neighbor (but fortunately for his dog), a dog does not possess the capability to enter into a legal contract. Ergo, it is 100% completely impossible to marry a dog or other animal, or a small child. Unless both parties can enter into the contract with full knowledge and understanding of the terminology and consequences, there can be no valid contract.

  • It is completely impossible for societies to enforce any sort of family structure on individuals short of, say, dragging out the offending individuals and stoning them to death. Whether soceity accepts them or not, people will still be gay or straight, you can't enforce your belief system on others and it's truly sad that you're even trying.

Heterosexual couples need tons of assistance in order to help build societies, even to raise families. You're ignoring what a society is.

  • its sad that you care for so little of other peoples beliefs

now, about you saying how heterosexual couples need help, this statement does not really bare much relevance to the issue at hand

if heterosexuals need so much help, why would we spend time and money helping something that cannot bring the continual renewal of a society

  • Everyone has the right to believe what they want. My problem begins when people take beliefs with a foundation in religion and try to turn them into law. I don't share your religious beliefs, and until you can factually prove the existence of your god, I don't think it's fair for you to use your religious beliefs as a basis for anything legislative.

All couples need help raising children. It takes a village, my friend.

Have your beliefs about marriage, but let gays have theirs, too.
