I have quite a few that I probably will lose at some point. I'm not making Money off any of these that I post so they should view it as an advertisement, I would think.
@birrcooffaly Like in my comment below, I found " because the night " on metacafe and dailymotion, but on a site called fanpop the it says "no longer available due to a copyright claim by Viacom international" also will not play on MTV.com anymore
maybe a sign of things to come? SOPS/PIPA hasn't passed, but the big studios are starting to put up a bigger fight maybe? not an expert, just wondering.
@9164151 I too was bummed out that the because the night video was no longer posted here. That was the very performance that introduced me to the magic of Natalie Merchant many years ago. But I've got good news, I found it on Metacafe!

@sTapleEVA Gotta agree with you.. I have heard her sing this one where the struggle behind living this lyric is so profound! This is not meant to come out to be a "happy" tune. This one just goes agains what is intrinsic in this song.
IMO, o’course – but that’s predicated on three decades of many, many, months-long episodes of (bipolar) depression. The artistry of this masterpiece shows well how Natalie has known those way too dark days too. Love on her for channelling all that despair through the prism of her musical creativity, to achieve such a magical encapsulation of being away with the blues faeries.
“In my own life, I go through periods where I'm down or elated. I've known a lot of people close to me seem to really suffer, and nothing I could say would take them from that place.”
~ Natalie Merchant, quoted in ‘Shadows Of Humor And Sorrow’, Tue 26 Oct 2010
@tuuexx oh yeah....!also my fav. it deals with depression, and we all get that to dif. degree,s.i know she fights those personal demons awhile now...she has a child now.that helped for me.when my passions fail me,my son is always right there for me.i think she has that same blessing .

I remember these guys when they were just a struggling bar band in Buffalo. They were not so polished then, much more emotional and passionate
